My partner and I walked over to the furniture out front and looked in the window - I noticed some cutting boards and shared my find - we agreed to have breakfast and wait for the shop keeper to open up! Best idea ever - we found a handmade wooden cutting board and some homemade jams, jellies and mustard. The shopkeeper was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the craftsman who made the board and what they were made of. If you are traveling through Morris, IL stop in and support local craftsmanship and the community. I'll be taking this beauty home with me to Kapolei, O'ahu - Hawai'i. Mahalo!

I did end up buying a coffee table that was on clearance and wanted to order a matching end table but the price was way out of line for a tiny little end table. I think they just jacked up the price because they knew I wanted one. We did not get an end table. As much as I love the Amish, I will not go back to this store. I give a 5-star rating for the furniture but the staff and owner I give 0 star. So that's how we ended up with just two stars.

I went a few weeks ago with a friend who had had a long history of visiting this antique mart. Back…read morein the 90s her family would come when it was huge and got all kinds of good stuff. Then she came back a couple of years ago and it was all the ShamWow people and very little actual "antiques." Now it's apparently under new ownership and the ShamWow types have been banished, so we headed out to check it out. She said it's not nearly as big as it was back in the day, but it is back to being antiques of all different sorts. There are a couple of covered areas (one in a "barn" with actual stalls), a place with food including some excellent pie, and of course lots of vendors. It was a HOT day so the size was actually perfect to make it through everything before passing out. Each of us made out with a purchase at a reasonable price. If you like antiques, it's worth a drive out into the country to check out this fair. Hopefully it will grow again fully to its past glory, but for now it was still an enjoyable place for picking.
