He was clear, definitive, and helpful, making suggestions but not trying to up-sell me. He was honest about wait time due to storm repair. As a business owner I have never experienced worse customer service. I have a retail store and we have outdoor furniture that needs to be secured. Russ Carter Fence assured us since it was such a small job that they could get to us in a few weeks ( back in November) and get us secure before our season started. After calling them daily for over two months they finally came, installed a few feet of fencing, in the process cut the irrigation line and damaged landscaping. We had that repaired and moved out of the way ( at our expense). When they came back they finished one side and left. We called repeatedly to see when they were coming back to finish the other side of the fence as we still had an opening 10 feet wide on the other side. We finally had someone come out this week, last week in Feb, and the next available time they can squeeze us in is end of May. One of the worst companies I have encountered. Needed a privacy fence and repairs on existing chain link fence. Received price, picked out fence I would like installed. Gave them a deposit for 50%. Approximately a week later a receive a phone call. The gentleman who did the estimate was only off a couple of thousand dollars and oh by the way the fencing you wanted is not available. I told them it was there error they needed to make it right. They offered a wood fence which not acceptable since a small portion would be in water. I asked them to treat it for me and I would do that since their mistake. I get a voice mail from Russ Carter stating we don't treat fences. The only reason I asked is to help correct their error. Nope, said I could get deposit back. Called office to get deposit,, she said I could pick it up, really! I am not wasting my gas, they can mail it. Horrible company, I was warned but foolishly went with them initially. Big mistake! read more
