Since then i have been to other places, although it took a while since the first was such an unpleasant experience. Additional to this the staff seemed unaware that their voices carried in the halls leaving rude comments in the air. The hairdressers are super friendly and good at their jobs (I tend to go to Ben, who I highly recommend - you even get a little head massage when you're having your hair washed!). I having been going there for over a year now, and I've never yet left the salon anything but very pleased with my new cut. But the best thing of all, you ask? The price! Despite being a (slightly generous) five-ish minute walk from Victoria Station, it's in the region of £20 for a wash and cut! And wash, cut and blow-dry is still under 40 quid. I haven't come across anything like this quality for anything like this price somewhere so central. Thumbs up to the team, and a big grin whenever I know I am due a trim!

Charmaine is waxer extraordinaire, super fast, and prices are really reasonable. I've been going here to see her for three years (minus last year). I've had two haircuts here now. The first was over two years ago, and I can't remember it - not a great review - but the latest was last week. Said wedding emergency was that my hair looked rubbish. My hair no longer looks rubbish, so that's a start. Ingrid, I believe, thinned out and trimmed my hair so it looked fine. Not great, but fine. Unfortunately, she did it in a slightly painful way - razoring the scissors down my hair - which works fine but probably isn't very good for it. And it hurt. I wasn't in any position to say anything, and it cost £35 so was a decent quick fix. For something special, hair-wise, I'd look elsewhere. Nice massage as they shampoo though. I keep meaning to treat myself for a facial or a massage here - I think they'd be good, and the treatment rooms are clean and inviting. Beware, they take only cash or cheque.

There are many other hair salon in the area just like Hayato hair salon, now, why did I decided on the Jubilee?? the hair salon I first went into in fact was Hayato but the guy was cocky and with attitude so I left their premise... Since they seems to want to only do ppl with "Virgin hair" un-dyed. Anyways after that moment my second choice became my first choice and I'm glad! I was hesitating if I wanted my hair color done in this hair salon, so I had a consultation with one of the staff then decided to book an appointment for the Saturday, which I was given the approx amount what I would expect to be paying and made a deposit. My hair stylist's name is Yukiko, very professional and polite, I did twice bleaching, color and hair cut, I went for balayage ombré with so baby light in the tone of grey blue lilac ish kind of theme, I also had hair mask done as well. Overall i like my experience although the price was a bit high, considering it is however in Covent Garden, everything will b higher price point. On my first visit I didn't get the desired color, therefore, YUkiko offered me to come back the following week to fix my color, and I would require to pay if I need bleaching, otherwise I won't. I like how my haircut went, I just trimmed about 2-3 inches n cleaned up the end since bleaching pretty much kill my hair anyways lol. My other half had a hair cut all went well, he had a junior stylist cut his hair n he payed 35£ n he like it so that's all it matters. Product they use for hair colouring is Wella, I wish they uses Olaplex but oh well. Overall experience it was great! Definitely recommend and would go back to YuKiko.

I wanted to like this place, I really, really did. So I'll start my review with what was positive…read moreabout my visit. The haircut I walked away with was ultimately a good one: I had arrived on what could quite fairly be called a 'bad hair day', and came out with a nice new do. And in many ways, that's all I want to take away from the experience. I'd gone on a Wahanda deal, which made the cut exceptionally good value, and I quite like the quirky premises. However, the customer service I received was quite wide of the mark and surprised me a great deal. I don't think the staff intended to be rude, but fundamentally this is the only time I've EVER been made to feel ashamed of my hair in a salon (and I've rocked up at salons in some fairly unkempt states in the past, curly hair does that to you if you don't have two hours a day to 'tame' it) and I just don't think this is excusable. I was already feeling embarrassed about the state my hair was in when I walked in, and normally, what happens next is that the hairdresser puts you at your ease. That's the professional thing to do IMHO. What I actually got was wincing 'yuck' expressions from my stylist as she pulled on my hair (we can see you in the mirror you know). I was then asked 'do I brush it?' and I did not need to be told that there was probably not much they could do for me. I went to the sinks feeling like a lost cause! Most of all though, I definitely did not need the assistant asking me cheerily So! Do you like your frizz? What sort of a daft question is that? After all that, they actually did an amazing job as I knew they would believe it or not even horrible hair like mine responds well to being properly treated, and I won't fault the treatments so why put me on the back foot from the start? I can honestly say this is the first time in about 20 years I have felt insecure about my hair, even if it is sorted for now.

Anywhere which is a vintage shop with a hidden barber shop in the back is going to get my attention, and after reading magazines where Agnes Deyne and other celebs talking about it, I knew it was going to be an interesting experience. Normally when I get a haircut, it is a £5 job in Scarborough. Short back and sides with a trimmer and a cut on top. When I entered, I was offered a cup of tea and a mince pie(YES!) Then I was taken for a consultation and Sarah told me what would suit me. I was then treated to a shampoo and head massage and another mince pie! Sarah then cut and styled my hair She was very chatty, very nice and wasn't the standard barber shop chatter which was a nice change to have in London. You definitely notice the difference with the type of haircuts, the look is so much better then what it was. I have read some of the reviews below and can't believe what has been said. This is why QYPE is so good, everyone gets to share their opinions, however it has to be fair. Paul and the crew are great, the shop and layout is so cool and the overall experience is 5 stars. If you are looking for a haircut with a difference, I recommend these 100%! Thanks Guys

The Woking branch of Supercuts is typical of the no appointment salon chain…read more There are generally between 2 and 3 members of staff available for haircuts and they offer a no nonsense service. Expect a long wait at the weekend and at lunchtimes as the store gets very busy. You'll probably also find that ealy mornings can be popular (presumeably with everyone thinking that they'll beat the rush). Waiting facilities are basically just a row of chairs - don't expect the salon treatment here. The salon is clean and brightly lit and is popular with all ages and both men and women (although to be fair it's predominantly women). Good sanitation procedures appear to be used. The cuts are acceptable but I find that you have to know what you want as this isn't really the right setting for a consultation! In terms of price Supercuts are very competative, especially given that Woking salons often think that they are in the WestEnd of London! Recommended for basic cuts.
