One was a bit upscale with lots of activities but less trees or nature. The other was Rainbow Forest RV Park. The park claims to be in the largest stand of Ponderosa Pines in the world. It is natural and tons of trees. It is close to Rainbow Lake. The sites were not as large though and there were almost no amenities and no organized activities. It is a beautiful place and would be an amazing place to stay. Rainbow Forest RV Park is a good choice to stay. It all depends what you are looking for in a park.

And this is by far the largest RV Park I've ever seen - I think there are 700 spots! But it doesn't seem crowded at all! The staff has always been very pleasant. Be aware they are not open on Sundays and I could not find a check-in area if they are closed.

We were hoping for a great week in Lakeside. We were disappointed…read more Reservations and check-in were great. Super friendly staff. They have a clubhouse with many activities thru the week. Two bathrooms with showers. The park is mostly live-ins with park model units or permanently parked RVs. Here is the disappointing part. They advertise Wifi. It is so weak and spotty we could not log into an email account. Most times could not connect at all. Do not come here if you will depend on supplied wifi. Next...only 20lbs water pressure. Barely enough pressure to brush your teeth. The water pressure at the park showers seemed normal. Other than that...park was clean with lots of friendly retired folks. Once was enough for us.

The office told us the site was easily flooded but it would be repaired by the time we were to come to the resort in July. just in case they offered an alternate site in case the first one was not repaired. Well 4+ months later we called to confirm are arrival in two weeks and were told the site was not repaired and the alternate site was booked. We were offered the site that floods or another site along woodland Ave (very busy). The management has no regard for keeping commitments and building a repeat business. We will forfit our deposit thankful we will not have to spend a month at this place. "Buyer beware" certainaly applies to this establishment.

Family just moved in next door to kids who have NO boundaries, and have walked into their house without being welcomed!! This is a beautiful park, very peaceful and quiet in a great location to everything. However they…read morecall it a RV Resort but in all honesty it's a vacation village of privately owned park models. They rent out vacant lots for RV guest. The park management was very courteous and yes the WiFi was very fast. There are a couple small issues that may be bigger issues for some like there are no bathrooms and shower but let's be real, if you have a motorhome or travel trailer you really don't need them you should have your own. Trees are a issue for satellite and the cable tv inputs are only for long term guest and residents. The BIG issue is that the park roads are extremely narrow with some corners cannot be made with a large RV. In our short time stayed I met a lot guest that hit trees or rocks on street corners and RV spaces corners. It's very difficult while maneuvering the narrow streets and sharp corners to the your rv spot. This park is not Big Rig friendly. I however have been RVing for over 20 years and did manage extremely carefully and cautiously with a great deal of stress maneuver our 45 foot Prevost H3 through the park. Several streets the management will even warn you that a simple right or even left turns cannot be made. Unfortunately as friendly as the staff was and as beautiful as the park is I would never try my luck again taking our bus there again. We had a great stay but it is only by the grace of God I was able to get in and out without damaging our Coach. In conclusion I highly recommend this park for smaller RV's and trailer but Big Rigs use extreme caution and be for warned.
