Nature center, cafeteria, and overnight lodging all rolled into one.
We came for the coffee and cake (both excellent and restorative in the middle of a long driving day), and read some decent interpretive signs about the local avian scene. We pondered the locally made puffin-themed ceramics but decided they were a bit too rustic for our taste.
There's a simple, boxy hostel nest to the main building; might be intended for birders and such?
There's a marine center upstairs with reasonable but not cheap admission; we didn't explore it, but we saw several families with younger children headed in and out.
An excellent stopover, and possibly a longer visit depending on your interests. read more
