The bartender put on a small show making the strawberry bubbles and had a cheeky smile. Was good fun. Food is great and well priced. I come here on days I don't want to drink too just to have dinner. Their daily special burgers tend to be the best value. I ordered the haloumi burger and was not disappointed. Burger is 20$ with fries included. Also had mini Mac and cheese balls to share. Can't really go wrong with Mac and cheese balls. Also had the blackened chicken salad which was packed full of flavor. Too bad it was small and not as filling as burgers but that can't be helped it's a salad. The drinks are standouts. Usually try something new each time. Strawberry bubbles is a good choice for something sweet and fancy.

Perfect spot for a date or just a regular Wednesday evening with a friend. You really can't beat it. The lounges are available for a fee, but grabbing a spot on the rail is perfect as that really is the best view. Then go to Eleven on a Thursday night after work - you'll fit right in. Want to sit in a booth? Too bad, they're all "reserved". There's nobody in them, of course, but how else would you know how lacking in elitism you are by being forced to perch on a much-less-glamorous stool? Enjoy trendy, tasty cocktails? Cool! Eleven serve a limited smattering of "predictable" cocktails at upmarket prices, with "local pub quality" garnishes and presentation. Think a $17.00 "dark and stormy" as one of their highlighted menu features, and you'll understand. There's also bar food but good luck beating away the middle aged socialites lingering at the bar to chat so as to order some! Oh and you can forget eating it from your perch on the stool! That's for plebs and people who don't own high street brands, like Tommy and Ralph. Ugh!

Jam-packed with people of all ages from all the countries the beautiful world has to offer. Only catch is, you can only get in if you're a traveller or student (ID/Passport required) and if you're a girl. Although we have snuck the odd guy in with a bunch of girls with much success. It helps if you know the bouncer. They play music with the likes of Love Shack, Horny, Addicted to Bass and a lot of songs popular all over the world with the kids in the 90s era. They do go back to Dancing Queen and Mr Wendal as well and boy can you boogy to the tunes of this place. Be prepared to have some form of alcohol spilt on your fancy clothes every time you go there. Be prepared for people dancing on tables (even though they've banned it). Be prepared to body squish your way from the dance floor to the toilets and then back to the dancefloor with very willing body squichers - usually from Braz-eeeel (Brazil) and write a note on the wall to your ex-lover in the toilets and pretty much throughout the whole bar, on the walls, on the furniture... everywhere. However there is much more to this pub than initially meets the eye. If you walk through the British style pub it leads you to the biggest beer garden in the Valley which is quite a nice surprise. The beer garden is perfect for nights out and accommodate allot of people which makes it prefect for those group nights out. The great thing about the Elephant and Wheelbarrow is that it has something happening every night of the week. The most noticeable of these are the great food deals. This includes 2 dollar steak nights on Sundays and 1 dollar taco nights on Tuesdays. These are just some of the examples of meals for under 10 dollars every day of the week. Don't be fooled by the cheap price however because the food is definitely up to standard. On Fridays there is also a great deal for groups of 5 people or more, this gives a group a meal platter worth 80 dollars when you book in. The Drink prices are fairly pricey however so this is where people wanting a cheap night out need to watch out as the cheap meal deal can quickly get pricey. There is also a wide range of live music nights such as Monday karaoke, live music on Sunday and a great range of other live local acts through the rest of the week. Personally I enjoy the Elephant Unplugged on Wednesday nights. The Web site is updated regularly and is a great way to find out more about events that are hosted by the Elephant and Wheelbarrow.
