It was stupidly crowded, music so loud we had to yell at eachother. The place had more of a bar/club vibe than anything else. We decided to wander next door and check out the mini golf instead. Some 2000's throwback music was playing (but not obnoxiously loud) , a kids birthday party was wrapping up in the corner, and a handful of couples seemed to be enjoying their date nights. We decided to give this place a try. Overall it was a solid choice of entertainment for the evening. But I took a few stars away for the following reasons: 1. Cleanliness could be better. I sure hope they sanitize regularly. Might I even suggest hand sanitizer available and trash cans throughout the course. 2. The putting green where you place the ball at the start of each hole we're loose and spinning or completely detached on many of the holes. It made it difficult to hit the ball without making it move and fumble. These need to get repaired

We were able to go at our own pace without feeling the need to rush, so that was nice. As for the courses, they were okay. I wish they were more spaced out. At the end of each course and near the hole, there's a part where the barrier is low. Our balls kept going out and into the next course, which was a little annoying. In course 3, my cousin's ball got stuck in the castle/building prop. We were really confused when the ball didn't come out the other side, but we were able to find and take it out of the hole it was stuck in. Overall, we still had fun, but I don't know if I would come here again.

It was only recently we attended if we weren't away traveling as my wife loves a huge festival that entails lots of walking, live music, shopping & food. It's an ideal place at autumn time with giant pumpkin weigh-ins. This year 2025 the top pumpkin weighed 2,147 pounds! Brian Werner from Gridley California won. This year they also had a scarecrow contest, pumpkin recipe contest, lil pumpkin cupcake & youth art contests. There were also multiple stages of entertainment & the pumpkin regatta happened on Sunday. We didn't arrive here until after an hour of opening yet they had plenty of parking at 20 dollars a pop. We did spend several hours here so it was worth our time. Also they do have kids rides & activities for them! That tractor tram ride for kids only looked so fun! It is really a family friendly event! This year we bought their Mediterranean food: chicken gyro & lamb salad. Service was good. My chicken gyro however was meh. Yet my wife loved her tasty spicy lamb salad as she ate the entire entree bc she was hangry! That value on that salad was worth it to her! My wife even purchased her favorite chocolate dipping' dots bc people kept walking past us eating them! We also observed some people dressed in costumes & lots of furry friends on leashes. An ideal place for people watching too! The weather was the most perfect right after a stormy week! Not hot as the temperature was nice & cool! Last Saturday it was odd though as the internet was down so they encouraged to bring cash! Cash is King! Now if you missed this year's festival make it a point to attend next year. It usually occurs the first weekend in October. You will be highly entertained. Seriously. My wife thought her pictures she captured were exceptionally pretty bc of the beautiful pumpkin orangey colors especially against the greenery background, bright sun & blue pond. It does make you appreciate our lovely sunny California weather. We are truly blessed.

The giveaways were abundant and added a special touch to the day. One of the most unique and exciting activities was the pumpkin races on the water--such a creative and entertaining sight! The people were incredibly friendly, which only enhanced the warm, family-friendly atmosphere. Despite the hot day and the lengthy parking lines, I found free parking in a nearby neighborhood, which was a big plus. The great family vibes made it all worthwhile. The Elk Grove Pumpkin Patch is a fantastic place for families to have fun and make lasting memories. I can't recommend it highly enough!

We rode the bus from the school and checked in at the designated field trip area when we arrived. Since there were four classes, they split us into groups, which made everything feel organized and smooth. The kids absolutely loved the hay ride and getting a tour of the farm to see the layout. One child was so excited she almost fell over. Her water bottle fell but she was safe. We then visited the animals and learned about all the amazing things the farm does, which was both fun and educational. After the tour, the kids enjoyed time on the playground and had snacks. There were also shops and places to eat, which was great for families and chaperones. The bathrooms are port-a-potties. They do have hand washing stations. I had never heard of this farm before, but it truly exceeded my expectations. We will definitely be back next year! It was only $5 per child and $15 for parents which wasn't bad.

"WILL RUN FOR ICE CREAM"…read more From the organizers of the Donut Dash (usually held in March) is the summertime Scoop Scoot! For only $5 (additional donations welcome, or optional t-shirt purchase available for $20) the original idea was to start in Land Park, walk or run 1.5 miles to Vic's Ice Cream parlor and get a scoop of ice cream in one of three flavors that you choose ahead of time when registering on RaceRoster...then you do the 1.5 miles back to the finish line and enjoy the beer garden (21+ with I.D.). Total 3 miles, just shy of a 5K distance. The earlier year's ice creams were just chocolate, strawberry or vanilla, then they changed it up in 2019 to chocolate chip cookie dough, mint chocolate chip or strawberry. You also get either chocolate or caramel sauce provided by Ginger Elizabeth. 2021 flavors were vanilla, orange sherbet, or mint chocolate chip. This event is sponsored by Mikuni and California Family Fitness and is family-friendly, dog-friendly, Friday evening fun! Commemorative plastic cup rather than a participation medal. I participated in the inaugural 2017 event solo, 2018 and 2019 with Gisele X. 2020 was canceled but it came back albeit modified in-person for 2021! To avoid masses of people at the start, bib pickup was at Fleet Feet Sports on J Street the day before, or race day at Land Park, and you stuck to the 1-mile loop inside the park as many or few loops as you wanted (i.e. no road closures), anytime between 6pm-8pm at your leisure/convenience. Very organized in terms of FAQs and race information via email leading up to the date regarding course map, parking, etc. Emcee/deejay with music, a few other booths/tables setup for other upcoming races, etc. Bib pickup at start/finish area clearly marked, different colored canopies according to ice cream flavor (orange for sherbet, green for mint chip, yellow for vanilla). Each runner got a commemorative cup and 16oz bottle of water, and the courtesy beer garden had Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Golden Road Mango Cart, and several Budweiser Seltzers to choose from. 2019's race was 97 degrees out, but today's was much more forgiving at 84 degrees around 6pm. Beneficiaries are three great local charities: Saint John's Program for Real Change, Sutter Children's Center - Child Life Program, and, UC Davis Children's Hospital - Child Life Program. This year's event has passed, but if interested do check out the 2022 Donut Dash or Scoop Scoot!
