They had prepared the easel, canvas, paint brushes, and paints that we would be using. Julia began her lesson and showed us our painting that we would be working on. Julia was super helpful and patient with helping us make our masterpieces. I am no Picasso but with Julia's guidance I didn't do too shabby! Overall it was a really fun team building activity for myself and coworkers. This was my first time at a sip and paint and Julia made it so enjoyable. The 1 hour always flies by as we were trying to figure out all of the clues. We chose the Speak Easy puzzle which was great. We had to ask for multiple clues to get started however, once we got in the groove it was smooth sailing. The speak easy room was 4/6 difficulty so it made for a fun time. By the end of the session we were exhausted from scrambling around but it was worth it in the end. We were able to complete the puzzle however, the last two clues did not work so the staff had to come into the room to help us. From her knowledge they just redid that room and all the clues were not set up correctly therefore, we could not truly complete the quests. Overall, it was a good time. Great team building exercise. I wish they made sure the room was fully functional prior to allowing customers to book that space for the 1 hour session. I recommend checking this establishment out if you are in the area. Cheers!

Of course failure in this instance is an accepted result for fun. Our host David, was great in setting up the event and moderating our experience. Our group was setup with the room was closely matched the experience in our group. The tasks involved might have been a little much for the three person group I was in, I'd say a group of four to six is probably best for escaping without help and on time. David informed us of new rooms in progress, including an adult themed crime scene room in the works. There is also a hatchet throwing setup available which I didn't partake in. The costs are fair for the rooms they have. I'd surely be up for another escape (or failure) soon.
