They are excellent with animals, very kind. friendly, patient and conscientious, efficient, work great as a team, hard-working and yet easy going, do beautiful work on the grooming projects I've seen, and they have great relationships with both 2 legged and 4 legged customers. My dog LOVES to come here, it's a treat for him. And I love to go there too. I've never seen an unhappy customer there. The vibe is fabulous and the prices are great. I don't think there is a better place to take your pet for grooming this side of heaven, and now I guess they also clean teeth. I can't recommend them enough. I'm so grateful they are in my life. The last time--a few days ago--was the last time I will take my dog there! Prior to taking my dog in for grooming, I always thoroughly brush him--especially his legs, which have longer fur. However, the groomer (who told me she "just graduated from grooming school," called me about an hour into the session to tell me that my dog had "a lot of matting in his legs," and that she would have to shave them! While I knew this was not possible, and I had TOLD her that I thoroughly brushed out his legs with a slicker brush, I also had a feeling that she had already made a mess of his legs, and shaving was the only option. He looks awful! She shaved his legs unevenly, and did not trim his ears at all!! His coat around his back, stomach, and chest are also choppy, and his tail is only partially trimmed!!! PetSmart just lost a steady customer. Some of their groomers do a good job, but several are terrible.

While I've never seen the kennel area, my pups run into the building and are always happy when I see them. They are never afraid, skiddish, anything that would give off red flags. I made a reservation over Christmas and confirmed the reservation with the new owner (via email) in early March. Since I noticed a few of my dog's shots were not up to date, I made a veterinary appointment two days prior to my dog's boarding with Chelstars and got his shots up to date. When my wife arrived at Chelstars, three hours before our plane was to leave, the dog was denied entry since the shots happened less than two weeks ago. My wife was told that this rule was posted on the website (a picture of the website is attached). We were successful in having to find an alternative placement in less than an hour. Since I have had a four year relationship with the facility, I called the owner about future boarding. This is when Emi Jo mentioned my wife was swearing at the employees. While my wife was probably frustrated, she does not swear (and almost never loses her temper). My wife also vehemently denies it. I would bet my life on the words of my wife. Granted, I may have sworn and lost my temper, but... I was not there. We will not be returning! I will pay extra money to work with a facility that knows how to tell the truth about a website and doesn't make up fairy tales.
