And rather than have them deal with the stress of being boarded, I decided to try a pet sitting service while I went on vacation. Ashley and Shawna came out to meet me and both were extremely friendly and professional. They both asked questions about the health of the animals, my vet's contact information, emergency contact info, etc. and had the appropriate paperwork to fill out. The peace of mind I had after they left was just what I needed! They will send you pictures of your pets while you are away to reassure you that everything is ok and also provide you with text updates. The price they quoted me was far too low in my opinion, so I felt it was necessary to pay them more than they were asking. Totally worth it! They even took the time to clean up a little!!! I make the drive from St Pete to Orlando because this is the only place I completely trust with my dogs. In July of 2024 I decided to make the training investement with both. I knew the mad skills and talents that Lexi & Tai have with dogs and both of mine needed the professional assistance. I enrolled them both together. Archie, is an incredibly stubborn 6 year old husky and Pongo is my overly excited, talking 10 month old Husky. They blend well together but they are not everyone's cup of tea! I trusted these two and their team and they did wonders with compassion, patience and professionalism! My dogs are the core of my world, so as most dog owners I worry how others treat my dogs when away. Lexi would touch in almost everyday, she communicated reports with honesty on progress & she let me know when a post of their training was hitting the social so I could feel better being apart. Recently, when I had to evacuate from St Pete during both of these recent hurricanes to Orlando, the team took them right in and explained to me the precautions and procedures they would be taking with them. This team even stayed overnight during the storms! Talk about going the extra mile. Lexi is amazing at communication and I still ask her questions about training because it's an everyday practice here with my two! Tai radiates love when he talks to the dogs. The staff is very professional, clean, organized and educates you on the different packages/pricing & knows your dog! Also they take great photography of the dogs! (photo of the work added!) I spent a lot of money at the Heart of Florida. I had 2 of my dogs neutered vaccines, checkups etc. On 2 separate and far apart occasions one of my dogs had real bad constant diarrhea and, on another occasion, the other dog had a real bad ear infection. Anyway, even though we were customers there for a while both times that I called to see if they could squeeze on in to take them, we were told that they were booked for 2 weeks and there was nothing they could do. Also, she prescribed medications and procedures that were very expensive and had nothing to do with the issues our dogs were having. After that I immediately stopped taking all of our 3 dogs there and called and told them we wanted all of our 3 dohs medical records to be sent to Banfield Animal Hospital on Posner Blvd in davenport. I realized that Dr. Gerena doesn't give a damn about the pet's wellbeing. She is a money hungry individual. t's all about the money for her. Now are taking our dogs to Banfield hospital and what a difference it is. They are very thoroguh and have wellness plans that you could enter into that covers a whole lot of stuff and saves you alot of money and if your pet needs an operation or procedure that will take time you drop him off and leave them there and they constanly call you with updates on your pets condition etc. One last thing the one time we had one of our dogs neutered at heart of Florida we decided to leave our dog there overnight and we were expecting a call the next morning as to how everything with the surgery went and when to pick them up. never got a call I had to call around 11am. Most vets get into this profession because of their love of animals and after a little bit of time goes on it becomes all about the money, What a damn shame. Also, at Heart of Florida, they are so overwhelmed taking in new pets when you call no one is able to answer your call. they have no consideration or regard that you have spent a lot of money there and have been with them for a while They just keep taking new patients and don't know when to say we are not taking in new patients which would be the appropriate thing to do on my opinion. one last thing Dr. Gerena just got married not so long ago, so I guess she needs plenty of money for a new house and for her future babies. What a disgrace and shame. i do not recommed them at all if you care about your pets!!!!

I tried taking her back for daycare a couple times but she just trembled and wouldn't get out of the car and so I should of known then that it was not a happy place!! They say they adore your pets but one day it was cold outside and a big dog was tied to the fence being bathed by the water hose. They also claim to let the dogs out back to roam and play but I've never seen them outside playing and I live less than a mile from there. Unfortunately they are left alone right beside the BUSY and NOISY highway unattended. Imagine your baby having to listen to noisy US Highway 17, lightning and thunder on a metal roof and even Fourth of July fireworks with no buffer. The place is dirty and smells and the metal roof leaks and is falling in certain places. On the day I took Angelina home and out of that filthy place there were mounds of dried up dog feces on the side and that was enough for me to never go back. Sure they've landscaped since then but go by there ANY time of the day and see if you see happy pups and a clean environment.
