After getting three other consultations, before…read morevisiting Dr. Harnick, all the other orthodontists cautioned that my severe overbite was going to be hard to fix and take at least two years of braces, and did not guarantee a perfect smile. When, I visited Dr. Harnick's office he did advise me that my case was going to be somewhat difficult to treat, but assured me that Invisalign was a viable option and would correct my issues within two years- the best part is the treatment cost was better priced than at other officess. The other dental staff is always happy and welcoming, plus there is almost zero wait time from check-in to getting taken back, which makes them very efficient at their job (most appointments took about 15 minutes from when I walked in the door). A year and a half later the results were better than expected and could not have asked for a better experience. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Harnick to anyone seeking a great orthodontist.

The dental hygienist at RRMD diagnosed me with periodontal disease and said I would need "extra treatment" my insurance paid $160 and I paid $40 out-of-pocket for the "extra treatment" ** The hygienist at my new dentist said "It's a good thing you came in because your teeth really need to be cleaned" She did NOT diagnose me with periodontal disease. I never mentioned that my teeth had been cleaned at RRMD on April 7th. I guess the "extra treatment" wasn't effective. 2. Dr. Leeper refused to take off the bone graft replacement from my estimate. I was told by front desk staff that Dr. Leeper told her "it doesn't look like the same kind of bone graft that we use" and that they would have to wait until they "got in there" to see if it needed replaced. That's when I canceled my surgery. On the estimate they gave me, the bone graft replacement was $5,624.00!!! ** I asked my new dentist if bone grafts ever needed to be replaced. She said "Nope, the metal post can be drilled into any bone graft" 3. In my opinion, the front desk staff needs to be trained better on insurance and billing. My husband called RRMD regarding our refund because nobody from the office had reached out to us after several weeks. The front desk person told him that the refund was almost $200 less than our estimate from our EOB's. My husband had to physically go down to the office and go through our EOB's with the office manager. The office manager had to explain to the front desk person what she had missed. It was found in our favor and we were refunded the correct amount. I truly believe that if we hadn't been paying attention, we would not have received our full refund. 4. Lack of communication. Every email, message on my chart/smile generation and every phone message I left was unanswered. I was the one who had to reach out to them. Nobody ever communicated back. If you do choose to go to this office, my advice would be... If something doesn't seem right, get a second opinion. Know your insurance benefits. Get a detailed receipt and compare it to your EOB's.

Communication was terrible. Calls went unanswered, there was little follow-up, and we were expected to come into the office just to sign paperwork. Diane repeatedly emphasized her "30 years of experience," but experience doesn't justify pressuring families to sign paperwork and agree to charges before releasing a child from care. Only after we challenged the charge was it waived and our son finally disenrolled. This office made us feel like a financial account instead of a family. We absolutely cannot recommend Cabezon Orthodontists. Please protect your child and get a second opinion before committing to treatment here.
