I came in for replacement shoe orthotics after my last pair of orthotics were no longer doing their…read morejob (my previous pair were over 13 years old). I saw Dr. Cayla Conway, who is a great physician. Very informative, very open and approachable. She was very interested in my opinion about the orthotics and what I wanted out of them. I appreciated that. It took about 4 weeks for my orthotics to be created from the plaster mold, and once I got them, I had a few concerns about their designs. Instead of Dr. Conway making me make another appointment to see her, she told me to come by the office and we went over my concerns and made a game plan to adjust the orthotics at no cost to me. 3 weeks later, I picked up my orthotics a second time and they worked great! While Dr. Conway is a great podiatrist, she only has hours at the Ankle & Foot Centers of Georgia on Wednesdays. She splits her time at other facilities. That basically means if you want to see her and there's an issue, you'll have to wait until Wednesday. This wasn't a huge problem for me because I was simply picking up a product. Located right at the corner of Commerce and Clairmont, the parking lot here isn't huge, but i've never had an issue finding a spot. The interesting thing that i've seen many patients have trouble with is finding the front door. It kinda blends in with the walls and doesn't immediately look like a door, but just look for the knob (silly to say, but i've seen more than one person walk from one side of the building to the other looking to get in). Really enjoyed my time here and enjoyed Dr. Conway's great service!

DO NOT COME TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! I returned for a follow-up and experienced the worst service…read moreas well as an attempt to overcharge for services. I believe in paying for services rendered, however between Dr. Wilder inflating the visit and the office staff speaking and carrying on in an unprofessional manner, responding to my questioning with "take it up with your insurance", I am taken aback. I asked simply what is the copay going towards and why is it an additional $217 dollars for a follow-up visit that discussed a test result? I should have walked right out when the receptionist began our interaction with "let's get that copay taken care of" with no eye contact. Back to the inflation of services...I phoned my insurance company in the midst of the back and forth of me not accepting that we discussed more than to two "chronic illness" calling for the visit being "extensive"; a code was mentioned that would bill this service. Dr. Wilder and I spoke of two conditions, treatment for 1; and they tried to say 3 or more, so I gave the code for 2 or more conditions to the insurance provider on the phone in real-time as the back forth was happening. By the way, I asked if the receptionist could hold on with my hand raised for a moment while I give the person from my insurance the code and she then said I put my hand in her face. Now she inflated the interaction. I told her that it was not my intention to offend her in that way. Continuing with the information from my insurance provider, the code that they said would cost me an additional $217, the insurance relayed that it is covered under the copay and no additional payment should be required. However, they continued to ignore this from my insurance provider and it concluded with they will bill my insurance and I will be responsible for all of it. I continued the conversation with my insurance provider after leaving and she explained that it does not matter how many diagnoses we discuss, an office visit falls under a $45 copay for my plan. It was very unpleasant and dishonest. Just code me and bill me for honest work. Don't try to pay all of your bills with one office visit.

I called the office of Dr. Tuck for a quick but urgent procedure today. He was in surgery, so I asked if there was anyone else in the practice who could see me for 5 minutes. They referred me to their Parklake location. I waited until my scheduled 3 PM appointment, hobbled into the office building, and the reception area. Once I got there, the receptionist told me they don't share patients, and she tried to call and left a message. I showed her my phone and said no one called me. Did you email me? She said, "We don't email people." Now the Village.podiatry I know calls and texts until they hear from you. I said, "So no one can take 5 quick minutes to remove this soft corn?" She said "Nope sorry the call center didn't know what she was talking about when she made your appointment." Even after not confirming I wasn't coming, they wouldn't figure out how to fix the problem. Not only did I waste a drive over here, but now I am in a position where I have NO ONE to help me because the day is almost over. A 5 -minute soft corn removal procedure would have eliminated my pain, and they should have made an exception due to their error. Sometimes, a business needs to do things just because it's the right thing to do. So now I will cut it out myself somehow so I can walk. Do good business by being good people. SMH.
