My sister passed away suddenly on 18th June 2011,and i was concerned as to whom i would go to, to arrange her funeral, as in the passed have not been pleased with the service that was given by other funeral services in the area. My wife and i went into Ruby Funeral and was met by Kate, with whom we spoke to with no obligation, but after a long chat and also meeting her partner Michelle decided that we would like them to arrange my sisters funeral after we spoke to her husband. We arranged for my Sisters husband, my wife and myself, to see Kate and Michelle at my sisters home, and the young lady's showed us how sincere and caring they both are. Kate and Michelle kept us informed of everything that was to be done with compassion and sensitivity, and the funeral from the beginning to the end was done so warning and caring.The chapel of rest on their premises is a very peaceful place to visit your loved one. My sister was looked after in all ways by these young ladies, they are so professional in all aspects, and we as a family salute them. Losing my wife was dreadful for me, her children and the extended family and friends. The way in which Michelle at Ruby Funerals took over the details of the kind of service that we required to say goodbye to a very special lady was amazing. The compassion, sympathy and understanding we received was quite incredible as was the perfection of the way the whole day was organised for us. We received the finest possible treatment professional but with the personal care and attention that is so important at times like this. Incredibly, the cost was actually less than I expected it to be while everything else was of a much higher standard than I was expecting. Having an excellent director on the day itself also made the day perfect and Leigh was resplendent in her red jacket which helped lighten the sadness. I could go on to praise these ladies for ever. Suffice it to say that they turned an awful experience into a day that all of us could be proud of. Katy and Michelle really did an exellent job for me and I had so many wonderful compliments on the day of the funeral that it made me feel that I had been 110% correct in my choice. They are really super efficient and so helpful and that is not only before the day, on the day but also afterwards. The prices they offer for the service you recieve is unbeatable, not always a consideration for some, but why pay more than you need to is my thinking. Whether it be a traditional funeral or one with a more modern feel to it my recomendation to anyone is go for "Ruby Funerals". A womans touch certainly beats the stuffed shirt approach.
