Tons of booths of various artists and companies, a ton of swag, and an entire area for just food! Parking is a bit of a pain if you show up later in the day, but there is a bus that will take you for the far reaches of the area, which is where we ended up parking. It was a nice day though, so we did enjoy the long walk. One of the things i enjoy about these types of festivals is meeting new people. There usually aren't enough tables for everyone to eat so sharing a table is very common. You almost always meet someone with a great story or life to share, or they might think you're that person with the great story or life to share. So don't be afraid to have someone join you and start up a conversation. It's all part of the fun.

But back to the review, please take time to go on the first week of May! There was around 500 vendors, I might be wrong but it was about six blocks full of fun things to be found. They do need some more things for men but then again, women are more in to shopping as a collective. If you love jewelry, small business finds, and food, it's definitely something I will be coming back for. I can't wait to go next year and replenish my earring collection. Recently started to collect them! We also had the most amazing freakin cake!!!! OMGAH!!!! I promise, if you like a cake that isn't dry, even a coffee cake that isn't dry, this company is worth ordering from! I am going to be ordering some yummy gifts for people in the future. It's called Dolce Monachelli's they do have a website and it's the best Bundt cake you will ever have. They have a cute sampler you can always get as a gift bc I will be gifting with these cakes! Sausage rolls and the candied nuts were yummy also. Took home Java rice, short ribs, paella, and pizza as well. Need to go back for the tri tip sandwich and fish and chips and all those desserts! Great location in downtown, easy to walk around and street parking nearby. Cool beachy vibe. Some lines were long but moved fast. Lots of vendors providing samples. Cash is king, most vendors prefer otherwise an extra fee.

This event has mostly meads, there are some regular beers on tap as well. The food is delicious, and they have plenty of options to choose from, but the Swedish meatballs and meat pies are my favorites. The bands playing this year were really good. They also have rock lifting competitions and ax throwing that was fun to watch. Parking here fills up fast. You can park at Vista High School for $5 and take a shuttle to the event. It's totally worth checking out.

It's just some of the volunteers you could tell never worked in customer service. Specifically, in the kid area where they had to paint the shields. One lady in particular was so rude. She was a little older with shoulder length brown hair and I walked away from her thinking, "wow, she should not be a volunteer." Maybe she was having a bad day, idk, it left such a bad taste in my mouth I won't be bringing my family back again.

And the dresses get compliments every time I wear them and I wear them A LOT. so thank you!!!!!! The macarons (sp?) Matched my nails! How fun!!!! And more importantly delicious!!! Also decent priced at $2.50. 3D printer guy was nice and informative. Son got a huge T. rex and daughter got a block fidget thing. Shroom pants were expensive but they are expensive every place I've seen them. Daughter loves them. Me too! Didnt see anything worth eating. Just the colorful treats. That's it.

Over the years we've come to the strawberry festival and we tend to come a little later in the day…read more& after the run event takes place. But how fun for those who do participate in that part of the event. I'd have to say this year they had a fantastic turnout, from the marketing, and the business being true to the strawberry theme. Being that the majority of the business, that had a pop up there, had some sort of strawberry something or other to be sold. Many people came in theme too ~~ with their very creative outfits. I especially loved that! And if you didn't come in theme you had lots of options to buy something and join in on the berry fun of it all. You can see in the photos that I posted just some of the things that we enjoyed. I like to sample and then circle back to buy if I can't stop thinking about something I spotted or tried. We took some cards and also followed some on their social medias in order to revisit supporting them at a later date. *Only qualm is people's impatience and driving erratically nearby & the fight or flight mode that kicks in because of issues with getting just the right parking spot. And one that's close enough to the event no less! We finally did get good parking karma tho. My Goodness! Overall it was a great event. It checked my boxes...if it has...Good food, Company, and Live music. I'm in!

It was our first Obon and several temples joined from around the state. There was a live drummer and they handed out water to all of the dancers. We're interested in the Vista Buddhist Temple and decided to attend one of their upcoming services.

For produce- there are organic, non organic, and non certified organic that use organic practices. For prepared food, there are plenty of vegan & gluten free options too! There is plenty of space between the aisles allowing for easy browsing. This will be one of my regular farmers markets now!

The parking can get crazy so take what you can find. I am annoyed there is no seating at the market so you can enjoy your meal. I couldn't even find a public trashcan. I wish it was a more friendly place for the prepared food where the market is open later and you don't have to stand to eat your food.

First time attending the Highland Games located at Brengle terrace park. Purchased tickets online…read more Cars are lined through the streets but there's two entrances. The main gate or at the McClellan center both are $10. The annual event is nicely situated throughout these park grounds. Paved walkways with one slope down to the field area. The Scottish accent will soon travel from your gut to your tongue and chule foind new experiences emerging tru des lands. On the far East end there's sheep dog herding. It was pretty incredible seeing these border collies move on the command of a whistle. Just like in Babe.. I began to long for a pig to do just the same. There's a nice kids playground and dedicated area to practice their own Highland Game skills. Pipe bands are a thing! Who knew. Competitions were in progress when we arrived. The first food area is just past the band tents with a few umbrella tables connecting to the tented beer garden featuring live bands like Bad Haggis. Decently priced food and beverages for a festival. The athletics area is on the lower field this is where the men and women will be competing throughout the day. This is also where the main stage and shaded seating area will be along with merch and food vendors. Opening and closing ceremonies will feature all the bagpipe bands marching through the lower field onto the main stage area. Overall 5 stars being that the crowd was a good bunch with kindred spirit. All there for a good time enjoying traditional Scottish competitions, music and food.

I give gone to other cities "taste" and they have been 100% worth it. I felt like there was no direction on the setup! Most places served finger size Tacos. I was hoping that there were new restaurants that we would like to try out but with what was served I would not go back. And to top it off a couple of places had signs saying they were not participating eventhough they were on the list. The funniest taste was from the new Hotel that has the "roof top Bar" they served quarter size tacos! yes they did.
