During the call, as we were discussing the replacement of kitec plumbing--a well documented safety risk with a class-action lawsuit that makes homes uninsurable--the owner was rude in tone. He asserts that the recalled plumbing is fine unless visibly leaking and "its basic" to tell if it leaks. This information is demonstrably FALSE as documented clearly in the class action suit. I let him go mid call. Not only is he rude, but misinforming a potential customer in a negligent manner. Hopefully his license covers negligence, as he might need it. If I am going to give someone tens of thousands of dollars to do work in my home, it is reasonable to expect a basic level of respect during the first phone call (and beyond).
