Be aware, that this shop is small, and gets crowded fast if a few people are in it. Shop has a good selection of new pull comics spread around the shop and graphic novels. Fair selection of various collectibles and some longboxes. Normally I wouldn't review a shop like this as it's very average. However, I've almost always walked out of here with at least one comic or pop vinyl. White Dragon is also the best shop in the metro Stroudsburg area for comics, and the best for miles in every direction. For these reasons they deserve a good review.

I attended a League Cup as a player on December 7th, 2025. During one of the rounds, I witnessed…read morethe following incident between two players, I will refer to here as Player 1 and Player 2. Player 1, who was new to completive play, shuffled his deck after a deck search, but did not offer it to Player to for a cut before drawing from a card effect. Player 2 called a judge after this happened. After reviewing the situation, the judge issued Player 1 a warning for failing to present the deck for a cut. Following this ruling, Player 2 became visibly upset and began using profanity and getting very angry, where I was feeling unsafe. Player 1 attempting to deescalate the situation responded, "you don't have to rule shark me over it." Player 2 then escalated the situation by saying, " meet me outside and see what F***ing happens" along with other curses and violent threats. The head judge, Alan, attempted to disqualify both players, despite Player 1 being the target of the threats. Player 2 left the venue. Player 1 stated he would contact the police regarding the threats if he was disqualified, the judges allowed Player 1 to stay and finish the tournament, where he placed second. During the tournament, Judge Alan proceeded to act unprofessionally towards Player 1, and threw prize packs aggressively at him at the end of the rounds. After the event concluded, the judges informed Player 1 that he was banned from future tournaments at that store. Based on what I witnessed, and as an active member in the community and pokemon professor, I believe this decision was unfair, as Player 1 did not instigate the confrontation and was subjected to direct threats from Player 2. This store and the judges have a very bad reputation in the area, being unfair to new players and unsafe for women to play. The judges have also made fun of the community calling them "autistics". I strongly believe that they should not be in good standings with the Pokemon Play Community and should not be a sanctioned store.

This gaming store is located on Main Street in downtown East Stroudsberg. Inside the store, the first area to greet you is board games, with options for different game styles and interests available. Pretty ok selection for reasonable prices. Towards the middle of the store is the cash register area on the right with collectors' "weapons" displays overhead for safe keeping and display. To the left is a section with American DC/Marvel comics and a small shelf of manga. Further back is a smaller, more specific modeling and other comic related section, followed by open tables in the back for Magic and other card games. Terrific idea to incorporate tables for player interaction and provide a space for gamers to enjoy games in person. In the very back is an e-sports area with consoles and computers set up. When I visited, these weren't in use, but good idea for non-covid times. I also noticed signs posted up for special game nights on certain days a week, for example one sign listed a Pokémon weekly game night. Covid-related: staff wore masks as did most of the patrons. There is a sign on the door requesting customers to wear face coverings. There did not seem to be a limit on # of people in the store, and when I was there on a Saturday early afternoon there was probably around 10 people in the front section of the store and about a dozen seated in the game-play area in the back.

DVD/Blu-ray stock was decent and cheap, but perhaps a bit lacking. Where I think Game Station stands out is the selection of in box games, which can be difficult to find but were not cheap. They also had a reasonable selection of games for rarer systems like the Sega CD. Overall, if you are a local, Game Station is probably not a bad store to stop in and check out. I was hoping to get quotes on some items I had, especially items that other area stores would not take. While asking these basic questions, the owner was brash and seemed offended that I had gone to other stores first. Thankfully, I had read the reviews, so, by the time he started telling me that I had been "scammed" and taken advantage of by the other stores, I kind of just knew to roll with it. As I read through my inventory, hoping to get yes/no answers, he was critical of what I had "Oh, it's model X and it doesn't have the cables? What do you expect me to do?" Well, Wayne, will you give me $5 for it? That's about the extent of it. It's a fat PS2, not fine art. He said he'd take it along with my Wii Balance Board, though not for much. He guaranteed he'd give me better prices than anywhere else. Fine by me. A few weeks later, I found a trove--and I mean a trove--of GBA and PS1 games in my parents' attic. I called and mentioned I respected him being straight with me and saying he'd take some of my undesirable stuff and then told him that I had found hundreds of dollars in retro gaming items--what might we be looking at and when could I bring it down? As I asked for estimates on some of the more notable PS1 games, I was met with a tirade about people who shop around and use him for price discovery. I get it! But then he told me prices anyway, while oscillating between asking if I had other desirable games and criticizing some of my other, less-popular games. Again--you'd think they didn't want my business--but we got through it and the estimates were consistent with what I found online. I showed up with three boxes of electronics and I stood back as they were unloaded. In person, the owner and his wife are really pleasant people. We don't need to get into details, but we exchanged small-talk for an extended period of time and I enjoyed the social interaction. The prices offered were fine but, hey, wait a minute, what about the fat PS2 and Wii Balance Board? They didn't want to take them. With the largest cache of PS1 games that anyone has seen in 2020 on the line, we were able to work something out. I left the store with $400 in my pocket and felt like I had befriended the husband and wife team. A week and a half later, as I unloaded what few items remained, I realized that I was missing my 5th-generation iPod (~$50). I knew that someone at the Game Station must have taken it out of the box and we hadn't discussed it or anything. But almost two weeks and no heads-up call? I called and identified myself ("Hi Wayne, this is Tim O ... ... I was in a few weeks ago and sold you some games ..."), but was stonewalled ("Ok?") into actually explaining why I was calling, at which point the owner admitted "oh, yeah, we put it on the side and were wondering when you were going to come back for that." Err... you were in possession of something belonging to a customer due to your mistake, had my name, address, phone number, *and* the knowledge of when I was leaving NEPA for Chicago and you sat there wondering when I was going to try to come back for it? Sorry--I didn't see a need to write a review but, upon reflecting, it's hard to classify this as an honest oversight. I headed down and was asked to name a song on the iPod I had last used in 2009 in order to prove it was mine. Naming a song correctly, I was provided with the iPod and the comment "nobody listens to that shit anymore." Truer than you'd want to believe.
