He would charge you for it. This happened on numerous occasions. This is because I trusted this shop. I have proof of this from other mechanics I used. Been a week since informing Christian Brothers that a competent third party has suggested that the…read moreshift linkage was the issue with my Ford Ranger that is under warranty that I spent over $5,500 with Christian Brothers to have repaired has not received any reply. Pathetic comes to mind. Other words like trustworthiness, dependability, customer service, reliability, and honesty; keep coming to mind also. Mistaking "Christian" in the name was my mistake. Christians honor those words like they are part of scripture. Being a partly disabled senior that depends on dependable transportation, I placed myself into a dire financial situation, going into debt, and now have my dependable means of transportation sitting out there in the drive because of incompetent people who told me to drive it until it breaks being the only means of having it properly repaired. Sound very asinine to me. Three times it was "Check out" and three times returned without being repaired or even reasonably diagnosed. Noticing my distress and anxiety, my Preacher asked what was going on? After explaining the difficulties I was having with CB and my truck, he suggested the shift linkage was the problem. After church, he and I did several tests, the same I did in front of the CB manager, and he pointed out exactly what was happening and not happening with the transmission. To get confirmation, I did some research on the internet, and yes, the symptoms described for the shift linkage are exactly as what has been the issue all along with my truck. Word of mouth is the best form of advertisement. And I have a very BIG MOUTH and I am shouting very loudly to everyone to "keep clear of Christian brothers." All the more reliable shops around town have waiting list of days or even over a week. That was one reason for my error in judgement in the first place; I couldn't get into the shop I normally use so since CB had no waiting and I needed my truck to get around I hurriedly made a grave and costly mistake it seems. Sadly we are now living in such an environment where trustworthy, competent, and honorable businesses are getting hard find, and those that are still out there that do still have those qualities have so much business it is hard to get an appointments to get in.

I had several mechanics at different shops take a look at this one car to try and explain to me what was wrong with it and they just couldn't quite figure out what it was exactly. That's when I took it Hudson's Autowerks and spoke with Matt. After spending a good 15 maybe 20 minutes with him discussing my situation I handed him my keys and in no time I received a call from him with a diagnosis the next day!!! He gave me a quote on the cost of the parts and and told me his labor fee and in a weeks time I had my Vehicle back. I just wanted highly recommend this shop. Thanks again Matt!!!

I dropped off a vehicle at Hudson Autowerks for a diagnostic. After 3.5 weeks, the vehicle had not…read morebeen inspected or diagnosed. Both the vehicle owner and I reached out several times via text and in person for updates, but received no clear communication. Eventually, Matt, the owner, stopped responding to my messages altogether and gave the vehicle owner vague excuses about being a "one-man shop" and "too busy." When the vehicle owner went to retrieve the car, Matt handed him the keys--but still had not provided any professional diagnostic report or service. As the owner attempted to leave, Matt blocked his vehicle in and demanded payment for a diagnosis that was never completed. Shortly after, Matt contacted Campbell's Towing, who illegally towed the vehicle. Matt continued to demand payment and used the towing company to try to collect $150 for services never rendered. When I arrived, the situation had escalated. Prior to filing a tow hearing, Campbell's demanded $150 to get the vehicle. (Audio recording is available) After filing a case in tow court against both Hudson Autowerks and Campbell's Towing, Campbell's increased their fee to $345.18 to release the vehicle. Ultimately, we won the case and were awarded the full $345.18 and related costs against Hudson Autowerks. This experience reflects a serious lack of professionalism, communication, and ethical business practices.
