If you must deal with Recruitment Solutions Wales Ltd (RSW) ensure that you have everything in writing, as after attending an interview in the Bridgend office I had been told that I would have a start with a company as soon as I could acquire safety boots. However after waiting in vain to be contacted by RSW and chasing up why they had not contacted me, I was told by a member of staff that the company were not taking anyone on and that they were actually laying workers off! I then decided to contact the employer direct who seemed bewildered by this. I then contacted RSW emergency number and spoke to someone to try to get to the truth. This was then followed by an afterhours call from the original advisor who tried to contrive her own version of events, which ultimately made me out to be a liar, denying there were any jobs available at present. She seemed angry that I had taken the initiative and contacted the company direct in order to get a true perspective as to where I stood regarding the offer of a job. The advisor then seemed to go on the defensive by attacking my character, ultimately ending the telephone conversation stating that she felt unable to put me forward for a job as she felt I may cause problems for her if she were to recommend me to an employer. read more
