There was even a couple of days where my kids missed the bus or something & I was at work so he ran them to school for me. We did our best to show our appreciation for him & the crew by having their favorite drinks, snacks, & giving verbal words of affirmation as well as ordering in food on the long work days. Reliabilty became an issue when his spouse opened up a business & would require him to work for her. Multiple times he would not show up at the job site when expected only to call in saying he had to go work for/with his wife that day. While supporting your spouse is commendable, not showing up at your own job causes projects to get behind. Its a domino effect. The current job can't get finished on time & the next job gets delayed. Due to recent injuries he sustained on a job site I would be more than hesitant to hire him for additional work. As a widowed, single parent I couldn't risk a lawsuit against the only real asset I have (house) if God forbid he were to get hurt again.
