This was such a cute park! I stopped by after looking for a place with a picnic bench to enjoy some tacos from Roundhouse Deli. This park was such a hidden gem, not only do they have picnic benches all over the park, they have an area where people can reserve space with a ton of tables. Perfect for gatherings and celebrations. The park was well kept and green and they had areas to walk and equipment for kiddos to play on. There's another park across the street and I took notes during my visit to come back again with my dog to explore more. This park is off a one way street with homes on the other side of the road. There's a designated parking lot along with street parking, and there were signs that there was more parking down the road at the second park. read more

This park helps add to the complete experience of the old downtown Roseville area. Located just a block from the Vernon Street 'old town', and just behind the City Hall building, they have a good amount of parking on most sides of the park, including the multi-level parking structure right across the street. There are lots of trees, picnicking space, kids structures, tennis courts and b-ball courts. Pretty much something for everyone. There is also a paved bike/walking path that meanders alongside the park and Dry Creek. Really a nice place to take a break, have lunch, or take the family. read more

There is a designated parking lot and street parking available. There are two playgrounds with one of them aimed for younger children. There is also shaded picnic tables. I didn't see any unhoused people, but it seems they have been spotted here. Overall, we had a nice time. read more

My husband and I came here for the first time for the 2024 Romanian Festival. It was so fun and lively! Lots of music, dancing, and food vendors to choose from. We absolutely fell in love with the food and will be back next year. The park itself was nice. Big playground to keep the kids occupied; plenty of parking, shade and seating to enjoy your food right away. We're so glad we stumbled across this event and got to submerse ourselves in an unfamiliar culture. We'd love to see so much more of this and keep our palettes fresh and our perspectives open minded. read more

Had to let the kids blow off some steam from being in the car for a while so we stopped here and it was awesome. So fun and off the main road too, which felt very safe. Other park goers were friendly and kind, and the structure was awesome! So unique, big and interesting for the kids. Definitely seems like a place where teenagers might hang out after hours so some big gulp garbage left behind in the structure and some graffiti but other than that it was fun we would go back if in the area again. read more

There's a lot of shade which is hard to come by in other neighborhoods. The castle park for little kids is kind of dirty and ran down. The bigger playground is nice. The area is a little undesirable but not horrible or too scary. I went out of my way to come to this park. It was nice but I'd only go again if I was in the area. There are picnic tables, swings for multiple abilities, handicap access ramps, tennis courts, a lot of shaded grass areas, and easy parking for free. I didn't see a bathroom. read more

On Sunday my mom, toddler and I attended the Romanian Festival here at the park and it was amazing, great music, a ballon artist, delicious homemade dishes, dancing and singing! My toddler loved playing on the playgrounds, if you haven't been here before, they have 2, including one that it looks like a castle! She had a blast, swinging, going down the slides, playing in the sand and just doing what she does best, learning while she plays! I would highly recommend visiting this park, they have so much to offer including a Children's Art Center, I would love to check out our next visit and a gorgeous view overlooking the water on the bridge! Yes family friendly park has tennis courts and kings renovated court and play area and walk way near the bridge and creek .

This is a great place for all ages. They have 2 play structures for children and lots of grass. Not to mention tables for gatherings and park employees trying to keep things tidy. There is also an exercising class that meets near the small children playground on weekends. Not to mention all the bridges and long walking trail. read more

Great updates and atmosphere. I wasn't aware of the update until a friend told me it a great addition. The original play structure was for smaller age group. And they added more swings and larger play structure for ages 5-12. It was pretty hot but I was glad they added the picnic tables and shade. The park was alive like it should be with lots of different types of families. I appreciated the beautiful butterflies that were circling around the park. It was very pleasant. My daughter and I love this park. Theres so much to do as there are two parks on the location, one for smaller kids and then the other for over 5. A creek runs through it and its a nice place to take walks whether its on the bike trail or over the bridge. Its always clean and its in a small residential area by a one way street so you dont have to worry about traffic coming through. One of our favorite parks in Roseville. Great for families read more

What a great park with old playground for littles and new updated for bigger kids, lots of shade and kids nostalgic feeling . Love the creek that runs through along the trail . Library and water splash across the street in downtown Roseville . The only downside is homeless and restrooms , they do try to keep them out of parks but they could be hiding behind the bridge or living in tents near the creek behind the bushes . read more

Wow, great job Roseville! This park has got it ALL! As a father of a little one, I really appreciate the fact that there are 2 playgrounds available. One is like a fairytale castle with 2 small slides and 1 giant slide for the thrill seeking toddlers. I was really glad to see that most parents understood that older kids shouldn't be playing on this structure. It makes it a safe and fun environment for toddlers to explore their limitations. Adults cam climb up the set of stairs and check out the view on the bridge. If heights aren't your thing head on down and check out the creek that runs below. Exploring the park is just half the fun at Royer, play some tennis, soccer or baseball your choice. Overall I think this is a great place for parents to bring their kids. It's hidden in a safe part of town. There is enough room to host multiple parties and their guests. read more

I don't spend a lot of time in this park, but when I do, it's for the bridge. It's a great spot for some photos.. in fact, we took some first glance wedding photos here :) Beware tho, downtown Roseville has a lot of homeless people that roam around. I wouldn't hang out here at dark. read more

I've been to Royer Park a few times now but have only walked around the edge of the park; have never stayed for any length of time to hangout. Why? Because they don't allow dogs. What park doesn't allow dogs?! There is a nice paved walkway around one side of the park bordering the creek, but the other side of the park on the street doesn't have a walkway. There is also a baseball field and a couple of soccer fields as well as a playground for kids. There are always a lot of people at the park for soccer or baseball games and a concert at the park on the weekends during the summer. I like all the mature trees shading the park as well as the variety of things to do. They have a small parking lot in back by the Veterans Hall and a lot of street parking. It's also an easy walk to downtown Roseville. I will definitely keep coming back to this park because it's connected to Saugstad Park by a tunnel under Douglas Blvd. and I like Saugstad because they are more dog friendly... They even have a dog park! read more

My family and I have been using royer park for a lot of are family reunions it is very nice when you have a reserved spot to have a family reunion they have several different benches and Evan a cooking area in the back that they allow you to use this is a great place for anyone a great place to have a birthday party or any kind of occasion they definitely have a lot of space to use and Lots of slides swings and basket ball court this is a great place for large groups it is definitely a place for the whole family including toddlers and infants I like the fact that they have swings for infants to enjoy and they have a nice area for the infants to play this is a very clean atmosphere very clean establishment very clean restrooms very clean parking lots I highly recommend this establishment for anyone they are great for large parties and they are great for a place to go and have fun I will definitely be coming back here again soon for more great memories and more great fun great place great establishment thank you royer park for all of the great memories read more

This is my son's No.1 favorite park. This park has 2 big playgrounds for toddlers and older kids. There are also tables and seats available for people to sit and eat. Tennis courts are looking great, too! read more

It looks like Roseville has given up trying to combat the homeless situation here. There's a lot of trash and people sleeping under bridges all the time. We just moved to Roseville and had some trouble finding a good park for toddlers. Royer park has everything we were looking for- lots of mature trees and tons of shade, a fairly elaborate and adorable castle-themed toddler playground, a sandbox with a separate structure for sand play, bathrooms, grass, and a larger structure for older kids / brave toddlers. Parking is easy to come by. 5 stars compared to other toddler playground options in Roseville. read more

It is being redesigned currently, so if you go now you will encounter a construction right next to the toddler playground(which could use renovation also). Other than that it's a nice place and it is going to be beautiful when they finish. read more

Came here for my nephews first birthday and I was impressed, the park is super clean and everything you want a park to be - there's playgrounds, tennis courts, a baseball field, a horseshoe pit and tons of picnic tables so you can have your party with plenty of room. The bathrooms are surprisingly clean for a park bathroom and there are plenty of park receptacles. It made for a really pleasant afternoon. read more

I have to give this park 4 or maybe 5. Longevity counts. It's changed yet stayed the same. Old fashioned . Big but little. Good for picnics, free music in the summer and kids love the equipment. The baseball diamond gets lots of use too. There are 2 tennis courts which were recently resurfaced. A stream runs thru it to one side actually. There are ducks and of course squirrels. It's a nice walk in the park. There are plans to revamp it and improve some things. . It's been around forever and survived storms, floods, and many get togethers. I remember seeing row boats here during a really bad flood ages ago. The city did something and fixed it so Dry Creek does not overflow, it's a safe park , and of course it's located on Park Street. Would you believe it if I told you there used to be a Zoo here. Yes, it was miserable for the animals. Fortunately it is gone and the bears(yes bears) found a new home. Lots of histor here for sure. A good walk in the park, to snooze, look at the sky or take a run thru. read more

Very nice park in a nice and quiet neighborhood. It wasn't too crazy at first; it did get busy the longer we stayed, but everyone was very friendly. They have both a kids playground and a bigger one. I have a 4 yr old and a 2 yr old so it works perfectly for my family. read more

Stopped by to go to the Romanian festival which took place here earlier today. It was a beautiful venue with a large playground, a sprawling green lawn and plenty of large oak trees for shade. It was an excellent venue for the festival which was a lot of fun. the food was amazing! I recommend the skinless sausages for anyone stopping in to this annual event in the future. read more

What a great park! By far our favorite. Very shaded for those hot summer days and so many slide options. We love that it's split up into 2 parks so if you encounter that "mean spirited" or older rowdy child you can just proceed to the other play area and not have your trip botched. Caution is needed at Royer Park due to advertising of a "Roosh V" gathering in Roseville this weekend, 6 Feb 16 at or about 2000 until 2100. Their advertisement says they are going to meet up at Roseville's Royer Park (the large park on Douglas Blvd), next to the gatling gun statue. This organization is known for being sexist, racist and xenophobic. It is my understanding they are lobbying to legalize rape and/or sexual assault. read more
