Royally Baked Gooey Buttah Cake, the BEST in St. Louis!!!

We came back to St. Louis after being gone for a couple years and normally picked up Royally Baked desserts from Bombay foods. We had a meal at Bombay and were disappointed in that meal, and got a slice of the Gooey Buttah Cake. After coming home we ate the cake and were VERY DISAPPOINTED, it was dry and tasted like it's been sitting around for a week on the shelf. Anyhow, ended up ordering a sheet from Royally Baked. We thought we died and went to heaven. The BEST GOOEY BUTTAH CAKE in St. Louis!!! I HIGHLY recommend the Gooey Buttah Cake from Royally Baked!!!

The food here is reliably delicious, but I just had to sing the praises of my birthday cake. Do yourself a favor and get the s'mores cake; mind-blowing.

I stumbled upon this place a couple of weeks ago. After perusing an extensive menu, it was nearly impossible to decide. I wanted just about everything! As their name suggests, they have desserts (brownies, cookies, cake pops, sweet rolls, etc.), but they also have SO much more. We're talking pastas, burgers, "wings", breakfast entrees, etc etc. It's currently approaching the winter holidays in the USA, so they're offering meals centered around that as well. (FYI Those meals were already sold out.) MEATLOAF - (Funny story. I had actually been craving meatloaf and had bought some MatchMeat ground "beef", along with other ingredients, in an attempt to make one. Buuuuut, y'all know I don't cook, so that stuff's been sitting for months. I should probably throw it away, huh?) Anyway, I was super excited to see meatloaf on their menu. I prayed it would be amazing, and guess what? It was!! Made with the Impossible brand, it was an excellent replica of the meatloaf from my childhood. Honestly, this is the best vegan meatloaf I've ever had! Lots of flavor, and it's topped with an amazing sauce. 100% will order again. STUFFING - First of all, this is a debate. I believe that there is a very distinguishable difference between stuffing and dressing. Speaking in STL terms, stuffing is Clayton & Lindbergh, whereas, dressing is Goodfellow & Natural Bridge. Stuffing is light and fluffy. Dressing is serious, stern, and about its business. I grew up on dressing. Being that I don't cook, I don't know the difference in the ingredients, but I've heard that cornbread and sage are used for dressing, and stuffing uses other breads. Now that that's out of the way, this place sells stuffing. Their stuffing is delicious! I topped it with some of their Cajun gravy for extra pizzazz. I would definitely order it again. GRAVY - I tried the Cajun gravy (thick & spicy) and the creamy white gravy (also ordered thick & spicy). Both were good but the cajun is my favorite. There are so many things on their menu and I plan to eat my way through most of it.

My sister is vegetarian and I wanted her to try it as well. The rib plate came with 2 vegan ribs, made of what I could not even tell you, Mac-N-Cheese, Greens and candied yams. I shared my plate with my mother, especially since the portion size was enough for two. The ribs were delicious, interesting texture and nice flavor. She posted an IG video of the ribs actually being smoked on the grill. The Mac-N-Cheese was creamy and nicely seasoned along with the greens. I'm not a huge fan of candied yams. I prefer sweet potatoes, so they were just OK for me. I continually watch to see what's she's offering as a plate special. Plates are available for pick-up on Wednesday at 4pm sharp. The plates are served hot-n-fresh, no waiting since you pre-order them. She just ask for your name and hands you your plate. The commercial kitchen she uses is clean. Ordering and pick-up is easy. I highly recommend giving Sweet Vibes a try. I'm definitely going to return. It's just hard sometimes to get out there due to work hours.

I thought I left a review the first time I tried this place early last year or late 2024 but I…read moreguess I didn't. I have since been back at least four times. The first time was a great impression. My fiancé at the time ordered a margarita pizza which was delicious. I ordered a garganelli pasta with some sort of red sauce and beef. It left a lasting impression that made us want to come back for more! The impression was so lasting that I made a reservation for my bachelorette dinner to be here but the pizza I ordered fell very short. I think I ate once slice and left everyone else eat it. We got about 3 different other pizzas and they were just okay. The arancini was good and the blue crab pasta was really good and I was like okay I'll order that next time. It was also to celebrate my birthday and they brought out this dessert and the clove flavoring was so bold I spit it out. It was actually not good at all. I felt bad because they gave it to me for free so I just said I was way too full to finish. (First two visits food pics were on my previous phone so I do not have those any longer!) The third visit, I ordered the blue crab pasta and for the price there was barely anything in the bowl for one, but there were also these small chunks of lemon in it and I could not see it so I bit into it with the peel and it was so sour that it just ruined it for me. Ordered the arancini again but there wasn't enough sauce. The burrata was good though. I feel like I can't catch a break lol The last time I went (last night) we rock paper scissored between the shrimp toast and burrata. Shrimp toast won and I had really great shrimp toast from Indo so this fell flat and then I ordered the garganelli with kale and sunflower seeds and it really wasn't anything great and I've come to realize that this place is overrated and I really think it's psychological because there only open certain days of the week and they're so booked out so it MUST be fantastic, but it's just.. good. That's probably the last time I'll go. I feel a lot better spending my money at Katie's. It's more of a 2.5 star rating but I can't do halves and 2 seems like I hated the place but I didn't. It just really fell short the last 3 visits when other places are just so consistent with quality, Noto has been consistent with disappointment. Hot take, I know from other reviews, so take what you will. Other notes * it's pretty loud so prepare to speak up * very small waiting area - more like an aisle really and an outdoor four person space deck with a door leading to a ramp * even if you make a reservation, the exact time isn't guaranteed until the party before you leaves and they don't rush customers (good if you're the one dining, not so good if you're waiting -- had to wait the night of my bachelorette * no tiramisu a tragedy really * dim lighting so very romantic / love the aesthetic * though it's listed as classy, I've seen men wearing cargo shorts, people wear sweats... disrespectful in my opinion but no strict dress code

She was very pleasant and kind throughout our entire experience. The dining room is so cute, and there is plenty of seating. I got the chick'n tikka wrap with fries and a mango milkshake. I enjoyed my wrap, the sauce was amazing. The fries were delicious, too. They let you pick the seasoning level which I thought was very nice- they were perfect. The star was the mango milkshake- a bit pricey for being so small at $9.99, but it was so delicious and perfectly sweet. I'm still craving it now a few days later. My friends got the Dubai Chocolate milkshake and we are begging for it to be apart of the permanent menu! It was so good and had nice little crunchy pieces inside. If you're looking for vegan food, definitely check this out! However, if you aren't vegan like myself, I would still highly recommend. I will definitely return in the future.

Big plus is being able to see the food and know what to expect, ain't with a description. For someone who is indecisive, like me, It made deciding what to order much easier! Pro: vegan ingredients that don't lack in flavor, they serve beer/cider, had their own kombucha, vegan ice cream/soft serve, and it's an environmentally conscious restaurant Con: display case of desserts but the ooey gooey butter cake (vegan) had mold on top of it, tofu dish was luke warm, and there was minimal/if any full front of house staff so people had to ding a bell to get their attention (which can become a bit irritating for dinning in customers) Would like to try again, but will probably stick to the lions mane crab rangoon wontons and a shake or soft serve dish.

ITs alot of food and selections. Like sushi stations, hibachi station, and a Pho station. It was so many people it was kinda off putting honestly. Like it was the season of Flu, Covid, and Respiratory viruses. So I headed to the hibachi grill to cook my food fresh. sooooo the man was rude and had an attitude. I get it we have a language barrier, alot of people, all demanding different things, impatient etc. But the facts were he was rude. But he can hibachi some food. That was great. I did peruse some buffet selections which all pretty much tasted edible but nothing that really blows your mind. NOW The fried BLUE CRAB. exquisite. Will i go back absolutely. wear your leggings with an oversized shirts for the ladies, and men your sweats. because this really a low key place to get full, talk, and go home to go to sleep. Pack your kids up and enjoy a night where you dont have to cook. Sunday dinner was like 23.00 per person and i believe they charged 2.99 for drinks. My waiter was attentive and cleared the plates and refilled the drinks regularly. I will say its almost like a system, eat, clear the plates, bring more people. Nothing attentive but the only reason you should be here is to eat obnoxiously. The ambiance. is cool ultra modern, multiple seating arrangements, if you have a large party, small party, intimate settings, its so large there is a lot of space to accomodate. but the lighting is super bright and the buffet area is almost garish, like we not at an old school miami night club we are here to EAT and EAT alot. I have typed alot for a buffet. I just want you guys to know that you will be overwhelmed when you walk through the door. so if you are a shy, private person, not friendly, overstimulated easily or have ADHD. Prepare yourself, take a shot, your meds or an edible because its almost right at the point of "its too much." Just go check it out and tell me what you think
