If not paid in 30 days or less they turn it over to a collection agency even if you're paying them monthly. Then the agency starts the phone harassment process. They call daily. The hospital is fully aware of their tactics but use them. The collection agency was informed that the hospital was being paid monthly and there are no other funds, they said they did not care will call daily until the hospital tells them to stop. This is criminal phone harassment by state statue. We like the staff and the closeness of the hospital, but they are pushing us away. They advertise they care about us but cause unnecessary stress daily on our mental health. Does it take a lawsuit to get justice. We are on social security and no savings so what do they want us to do. So if you dont have cash to pay your copay within 30 days expect harassment daily

I fell Sun and had broken my sternum but the hospital that I had been taken to that day failed to…read morelisten to me about the areas that were in pain so I was sent home and I know that the first 48 hours after an injury is usually the worst so I waited even though my pain seemed to be worse and breathing was difficult I managed to get by until Wednesday and I decided to go to the St. Luke's Hospital in Lee's Summit Missouri and ask for the X-ray for the area that I was hurting from the most and they followed through with my request for further testing and they discovered that I was right. My sternum was broken my unfortunate discovery is still in the beginning of the recovery process but I'm glad I chose this hospital to be seen in. I've been to several different ER's in the past but this has been the best place to go to during a variety of health needs that I have had come up with me. This was kinda funny but I found charging cables out in the waiting room and I was impressed with this because I had been in the other hospitals waiting area after I had been discharged and I was waiting for my ride home and they didn't have anything to help people like that. I've been trying to be very careful and not say the name of the other place but I will be leaving them a review on my opinions on my last visit so if you are trying to use the reviews to see which one is a better option you just might find me there too. But I have been impressed with this place for a while now and it's why I chose them again. They're always looking for ways to make things better for everyone.

We had an experience here in 1998 that convinced me that I would never, EVER return to this…read morehospital. I had told my husband to let me die before taking me back there. In 2024, 26 years later, my son needed emergency care and was transported to Lake Regional by ambulance. By the time he got to the hospital he was in a coma, & needed a breathing tube. He was admitted to the ICU & I realized immediately that things here have changed! The care administered by the nursing staff was exemplary. They were kind, caring and helpful. One of the doctors took about 30 minutes out of her day to just let me cry and process the situation. The social worker was incredibly supportive and helpful in trying to arrange next steps for our son. I would not hesitate to return to Lake Regional. It seems they've done a lot to make improvements here. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because one of the doctors gave us incorrect information regarding how my son would be transferred to another hospital. It ended up causing a lot of confusion and irritation for my husband and I.

I told him I did not want a narcotic because I can't handle them he gives me a narcotic anyway. ( I did not know) As I am leaving the hospital I get so very sick. I voit water and then dry heaves. The pills they gave me to take were also narcotics. I called the following day saying I am sicker now than before. I said I need a NON NARCOTIC DRUG called in. They said I had to come back to the ER. I did and the knew doctor was hateful and argumentive. He treated me like I was a bother. Sent me home saying he would only give me narcotics. Never fixed anything. A month later my bill came for $25,000. I hate how I cannot go to the hospital if I am sick. It is horrible that they can charge you a half a years wages to do nothing.I lost my work and now have the hospital sending me letter after letter that they want paid.
