It has all the traditional pub games at one end of the bar including pool tables and a darts room. This is a brilliant idea as unlike in other pubs there is plenty of room to play your pool shots without knocking into walls, posts or people. Families are welcome and facilities are laid on to keep the kids entertained. A conservatory provides them with space in which to play without disturbing other patrons and a garden with slides and swings to give them extra stimulation in the summer. The bar staff are friendly and on my visit the landlord was in the pub and engaged me and my friend in some conversation which added a touch of personality to the place. Parking is not a problem as there is plenty of room on the pub's grounds however one customer I got chatting to told that the pub has previously been targeted by police for drink drivers so it is worth being extra careful and considering this when accepting that second pint. The prices are standard for pubs but helpfully the bar tariff is displayed in clear view next to the bar.

Pool table and darts stage with outside play area as well as some games behind the bar. Staff are happy to entertain and get involved any games or conversations. Not many other pubs i go to do i find the manager at the bar talking and watching the acts. As for drinks range everything you could want is covered more gins than i knew existed and decent pint served. Very few seem to have John Smiths let alone serve it well. Keep up the good work and give a Saturday night a go always something going on.

It is the only pub serving the Pantiles area meaning that it is the local for a lot of people. As a result it can get busy but this isn't really too much of a problem. You might not get a seat but even if this is the case, there is plenty of room to stand at the bar and drink. If you really want to sit down then getting there early-ish is recommended. Service was quick and efficient and the bar was well staffed. The customer base seems to be made up of more mature folk who keep themselves to themselves and are there just to enjoy a drink. My visits have seen little to no rowdy behaviour or trouble and this is comforting. During the summer it has a lovely garden which is a good place to take the kids for the afternoon. The interior is quite new, mainly decked out in pine and the pub is very well lit indeed. The pub has a small car park at the front but parking spaces are also available over the road outside the shops as well as in surrounding streets.

The staff are friendly here and the drinks are avarage pub prices not cheap though. The food is very nice but again over priced. You do get a lot for ya money however. You get an eclectic mix of all different walks of life and age ranges in this pub from children to old people. All is welcome here. I do recommend this pub but only if you fancy yourself a quiet couple of drinks if you look for a night out bursting with life and entertainment then this is not the place for you.

It's small and has a loyal following of regulars who in my experience keep themselves to themselves. There's a lively atmosphere, one of relaxation and general contentment which makes you feel quite settled as soon as you've sat down. It is possible to hold a conversation here too which is a massive plus when compared to other places in the immediate area. Luckily this pub often seems invisible to folk who aim to go out and get as hammered as they can meaning it is normally an idiot free zone. The bar staff are friendly and service time is more than satisfactory no matter how busy it is. The only thing I can't believe about this pub is that I walked past it so many times before actually giving it a go. In the evening parking is available in the pay and display opposite the bowling alley which is about 2 minutes walk around the corner from the pub.

We went up to the bar to order drinks and food. I did notice you could order from your phone but Auntie likes to do things the old fashioned way so up to the bar we went and we were helped pretty quickly. I had a monster mango mash cocktail it was good but not strong. My Aunt and Uncle had beer and red wine nothing fancy but they were happy with it. I had fish and chips with baked beans. It was good basic fish and chips. My Aunt and Uncle had baked potatoes aka jacket potatoes with tuna and it came with a side salad. They were happy with that. We had a good time. I would come back here.

I was never a fan of the original Lloyds and pretty much had to be physically dragged there by friends. I'm sad to say that the only changes to the place have been physical. Being a Weatherspoons, it is a case of cheap drinks all round. Early evenings and midweek this can be quite a good place to socialise. But at the weekends it packs out to the point where it becomes unenjoyable. there are a lot of people clambering for the bar staff's attention and it took me ages to get served at the bar. A lot of people appear to go to The Furze Wren to get as drunk as possible for as cheap as possible. Of course this means that you can encounter a number of unpleasant characters. Don't get me wrong, the majority of people are there to keep themselves to themselves and to have a good time, but it is worth keeping your wits about you and be prepared to be knocked into a lot if you are there during these busy periods. As far as food and drink quality goes, it is Weatherpoons' standard which means good value and good quality. The Furze Wren is good for a midweek drink and socialising with friends. As for weekends, I would suggest only going there if you can tolerate nightclub style environments (ie, crowded and loud). Being based in Bexleyheath Broadway makes it a good place for lunch or a break from shopping/work. Pretty much every bus route that goes through Bexleyheath stops within a few hundred yards of it although some buses are subject to diversions on Friday/Saturday nights and during other busy periods. Parking is available outside Sainsbury's around the corner.
