After scouting the web and Yelp, we stumbled upon Le Louis XIII. Not expecting much, we decided to check out the restaurant because of the history we have learned about French history.
Le Louis XIII was very clean and offered patio dining where we were seated. The server, hostess and even manager ensured that we were well taken care of. They were all so gracious and with our limited French, and their extent of English, we were able to communicate quite well. We were use to the small dish sizes of French cuisine but was pleasantly surprised by the dish sizes at Le Louis XIII. In addition to the size of the dishes, the dishes were all well plated, tasted fresh, and surprisingly left us full. In addition, the prices were very reasonable, and for a family of 4, who we each got an appetizer, four entrees, and two desserts, the total was a little bit over $100.
I absolutely hands down recommend the berry and mango dessert. These two desserts were the best desserts I have ever had in a very long time. The fruits were fresh, the texture smooth, and not too sweet. We had to debate whether or not to get another serving, and my family rarely orders dessert.
Overall, I would highly recommend Le Louis XIII for a nice dinner. The atmosphere is very welcoming, the service is very accommodating and the food is excellent and well priced.
