One of the best places in the area for good pub grub. Big portions, crispy chips and fresh salads. Delicious. Had the barramundi and the chicken schnitzel and would recommend both read more

It was all quite good food, exactly what I would have expected for the price we paid (Which was quite decent). They had quite a large menu and it is actually really nice out back (the front of the building looks really dark but out back it is actually light and open).

Clearly a historic hotel and is being or has been refurbished to capitalize on the area's history. Plenty of parking at the rear. First we walked in through the rear beer garden where there appeared to be some type of presentation occurring. It stopped and we were glared at until entering the building. Went to the dining room area because of the kids and ordered our meals. Went to the bar and was made to wait while every apparent local got served before me even though arriving after me. The meals were Sydney CBD prices and not that great. Some of the meal was dropped on the floor as it was brought out. The guy apologised but left the food on the floor. I picked it up later when it was clear he wasn't going to. One of my kids spilt his drink and I asked for a cloth to clean the table up. I was directed to the napkins and used half a packet! The wife had a pasta dish which was very ordinary to top it all off. Disappointing experience but in love with building's appearance and condition.

Located in a quiet corner of sleepy Singleton, but very close to some superb restaurants and the more bustling (and touristed) parts of the Hunter. We came at Easter and found a basket of eggs and a bottle of wine on arrival--a lovely touch.

The owner has bent over backwards to accommodate out large family, he even wanted to refund us when the lights malfunctioned in our cabin. The facilities are clean and serviceable. There is a decent sized pool with a toddlers shallow section too. Playground, bbq, laundry and free wifi. Pets ok. The Giants Leap NP is at the back gate of the park. Worth the hike up the mountain to see the amazing views. Next door is a cafe with general store. Across the road the local Inn has really good food. Roaming Bantam chooks with their chicks was a lovely little bit of added charm.

I ended up getting them to mostly shut via a Magyver like use of a hair clip and a chair. Apart from this, it was fine. Rooms were old and so was the bathroom, but it was clean. It had a TV and was a decent size. As I was visiting a mine site it was great that they can pack you a lunch (just ask at reception before 8pm the night before). The lunch was fine - two fresh sandwiches, muffin, fruit and a juice. So not amazing, but a decent motel.
