Royal Farms on Fire Road has become a regular stop for me. There's ample parking, plenty of pumps, and some of the lowest gas prices around, so filling up is quick and painless. The food is just as solid. The chicken is fried fresh and ready fast, the coffee is ground right in front of you with 12 everyday options plus seasonal roasts, and the breakfast wrap hits the spot any time of day. I also like that you can actually sit and enjoy it -- whether it's the indoor counter bar or the patio picnic tables outside. On nice mornings I'll grab a coffee and relax in the sun, which makes it more than just a fuel stop. The place is clean, bathrooms are kept up, staff are friendly, and the monthly chicken deal is worth checking out. All in all, it's a convenient, well-run spot that makes it easy to come back. read more

World famous chicken??NOT!!!The smell of the chicken was great from outside, that is what lured me in. But that chicken was DISGUSTING, DRY & JUST AWFUL!! I refuse to buy sny other food from Royal Farms! I will stick to my Wawa from now on!! Save your $$!! Stay away from that chicken!! read more

The best fresh ground and brewed coffee!!!! You'll be shocked!! I get the Jamaican and it's so delish. You select which coffee you want and if it's to leave ample room for cream. When you enter your choice, the whole beans enter an internal canister for grinding and....,.fresh coffee is brewed. read more

The chicken is great, if they have it ready. They often run out of everything because they don't keep up with it and don't start preparing it until you ask for it, if they have it at all. They are only carry a few items, so there's no reason to run out of things. If you hit it when they are stocked with fresh food, it's excellent, but that's an exception. They do have the best coffee around and it's worth it to stop there just for the coffee. read more

I love Royal Farms! Tonight was just for some drinks on the ride home from Margate, but I LOVE their by the piece chicken breast! Succulent! Their rewards add up quickly too! read more

Grand Opening of Royal Farms was definitely exciting with the hoards of people jam packed in the small store ordering food and checking out the place in general. However that excitement slowly got tiring when you have to wait for over an hour for your food... After the excruciating wait for their "world famous" fried chicken. I was left pretty disappointed in price vs what I got. I had ordered a family size 20 piece chicken meal with 2 large sides and 8 dinner rolls and on top of that I also ordered a family sized Western cut fries with sour cream and onion. The chicken was good, however I paid $40 for them and the 2 sides. I could get the same thing at Popeyes for half the price...The sides are mediocre at best. We got mashed potatoes and maccaroni and cheese. The mashed potatoes tastes like instant mashed potatoes and the maccaroni was tougher then it should be, both came out cold and needed to be reheated. Though the most disappointing part was that we ordered the family sized Western fries and got back a small box without the sour cream and onion. Before we left we asked the food preparer and she said yes yes that's the family size. Only to walk out and see someone else with a larger box of fries AND the side of the box said small. Whether it's busy or not the preparer should have doubled check and make sure it was correct as grand opening decides whether or not people will come back ultimately. Yes this is a gas station convenience store, however from the many chains they have they should know how busy it gets and have already known from prior mistakes from other stores. read more

Came here to see what all the hype was about...at 0930 to avoid the busy lunch hour. LOL. Can you believe this place is so busy for chicken? Impressive. My order took about 15-20 minutes.. so prepare to kill time and sip on some iced coffee at the sitting area. The place is very bright and new, and has many items you can find at Wawa as well but the only difference I would say is the menu is limited compared to Wawa (touchscreen ordering also) and the self check out line (oh and Krispy Kreme! How cute!) Menu has 24-hour breakfast. Chicken selection and deli sandwiches. We Ordered the chicken family pack for lunch. Tried the "world famous chicken" piece.. the chicken was crispy, not that salty and also included 8pc biscuits. Overall IMO it was very tasty and nothing compared to Popeyes or KFC. Pretty decent chicken..I think everyone should at-least try it!The bag also contains instructions for reheating. Would I come back? Possibly. Give this place some time to catch up since It is BRAND NEW, which is why I give It 3 stars. Other than that, welcome to the neighborhood! read more

2:00 in the afternoon - no registers open, self service only. No bags so I had to try to juggle my purchase and put a couple things in my pocket. It's like they don't even want my business. Very disappointed. Other Royal Farms have always given me great service. read more

The food can be hit or miss here , chicken usually good, potatoes wedges are good if you can get them fresh that is the key. The service is the worse we had two lady's working that night younger one rude and did not want to work, older lady confused. Bad service read more

The worst Royal Farms in the world, I literally waited 30 minutes for my order to be done and my order was done but they didn't give to me I asked two times if my order was done and they said was not, but when I asked for refund because I was late for my appointment they said ok, and when I looked to them my order was sitting on the counter already done, the worst experience that I had, and also the workers was the slowest people i ever met. read more

I would have put zero stars. Purchased a 12 piece meal today. It was the worst chicken we ever had. Number one the chicken itself was mostly bones and dark meat even though we had mostly breasts. It was all breading and no meat. Basically breading and bones. The breading was very dark and very oily making the chicken inedible. You can see that the oil used to cook the chicken had not been changed for quite awhile. Making us feel nauseous through the night. Even though we basically threw out the entire meal. We usually purchase our fried chicken from ShopRite and after this experience we will continue to do so as their chicken is consistent and fried fresh. Stay far away from this Royal Farms. read more

I just wasted $30 on 3 sandwiches, fries and MAC & Cheese. The service was TERRIBLE - waited 20 minutes after they substituted chicken breast for the pulled chicken. They are so disorganized. The food wasn't that good. I will never go back! read more

The only thing saving this review IS THE CHICKEN because for this store to have only opened less than two weeks ago it is seriously TRASH! The garbage cans outside were over flowing, the rail that you sit and eat at inside was dirty with used napkins and old utensils, the store is literally out of stock of 70% of items (no Krispy Kreme donuts, royal farm products out of stock with empty shelves and even the refrigerator section was empty.) We waited, no joke, 25 minutes for FOUR PIECES OF CHICKEN!!!!!! WTH is going on in this place?????? They better get their stuff together because all the business will head right on back to the Waka right up the street once they reopen. read more

harmony had great energy providing smooth and helpful customer service I felt very comfortable after seeing her warm n beautiful smile

RIDICULOUS!! The most unorganized place I've ever seen. 55 minute wait for 12 pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes & mac & cheese. The kicker is the guy behind counter commented how "great" it was that people were getting their food in under an hour!! That's an achievement??! I know it's a new establishment and you are working out the kinks but you need a manager in there that can captain that ship because whoever is back there now is not doing a good job at ALL. If I can make a suggestion, people should be able to order and pay for their food online. That way, the store would know how much chicken they need to drop and not have a hundred people standing around staring at the workers. The workers could put the orders together and have them ready for pickup. read more

Royal Farms - Tiniest, Driest, Balsa wood textured Chicken Wings on this planet! - Convenience Stores Near Me - Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey

Ordered a croissant sandwich with scrapple, egg and cheese. Absolutely NO flavor. The "croissant" was not flaky, it was basically a roll shaped like a croissant. I also ordered a hash brown that again had NO flavor. Granted, it was hot but it was also as hard as a brick. Two women behind the register area seemed to be aggravated that I wasn't aware it was all self-checkout when I asked. The conversation they were having about dieting must have been more important. The self checkout is not user friendly, especially if using cash. The store is well laid out but the floors were sticky. This was my first and LAST visit to Royal Farms. If you're in New Jersey or Philly, just find a Wawa. Don't waste your time. read more

I was an employee at royal farms in egg harbor Twp on fire road. I made the decision to quit last night. For 1 on the weekends they would only put me on and the cook on the busiest nights. I would work the front end and the cook would be in the kitchen. I worked the night shift, the customers would have to wait 20 to 40 mins for their food. Because the chicken and fries that were out was from the day shift. The customers can clearly see that the food didn't look good. I would constantly have customers tell me that the food looked bad can you ask the cook to make fresh chicken and fries. I felt so bad for the customers and I was so embarrassed by this. They were understaffed on the weekends it was only me getting the food and doing the register. I would have to run back and forth. The customers at the register would get so mad because they would be waiting a while to get their cigarettes. It was horrible being the only worker at the front end. And not only that, there's times where I would be the only one in the store from 10 at night until 12 in the morning. It's against policy to only have one worker in the store by themselves. Unfortunately the manager Christine didn't care. The one night she only scheduled the cook. So they only had one worker there until 4:30 in the morning. Secondly one of my old coworkers Sharron was by herself from 10 at night until 12 am. There was no gas guy. A customer came in asking for gas and Sharron told him there was no gas guy. Now if your not trained to pump gas which she wasn't then your not allowed to do it. Also it's policy that your not allowed to leave the store unattended. Well the manager Christine and the district manager terminated her over something she had no control over. One of my old coworkers told me that the manager lied to the district manager telling her she taught my coworker and I how to pump gas. That was a flat out lie. The manager only did that to cover her own butt. I told the district manger neither of us were trained to pump gas. But unfortunately she didn't care, both of them should be ashamed of themselves. Not only that I had a medical emergency and had to go to the hospital by ambulance. So I had to call out because of that. The manager texted me the next morning saying you called out without finding coverage knowing that I was in the hospital and the only thing she cared about was that I didn't find coverage. I told her that I wasn't able to come in that night because the doctor wanted me to rest. Now I had a doctors note from the hospital and her response was well your going to have to find coverage and pretty much told me if I can't find it and if I don't come in I would be terminated. So I tried to find coverage but no one could come in. So I was worried about my job so I decided to go in and go against what the doctor told me. Well I ended up feeling weaker and at that point I made the decision to quit. I wrote the manager a letter stating that I quit and I clocked out and left. This is the only job that I've ever worked at that treats their employees horrible!! read more

Got here at 3:30 only ones on the store ordered spicy 3 tenders and after 25min when it only takes 10-15 min and three guys in the kitchen and still can't get the order right where is the leadership management is a Tuesday and nobody can get a order right and in a timely manner.... Went in on my break for dinner no chicken ready at 11:30pm with two customers in the store and a 10 minute wait?? my break is only 30 fucking minutes. Chicken is very expensive and not that good at all. I will Never shop at royal farms again for Anything!!!!!! read more

The food at this place is so ridiculously good, during the opening week it was well worth the wait. Plus the prices are insane!! They're really giving Wawa a run for their money!! Now that things have settled (I was going almost every day instead of to Wawa!) the wait is only minutes at most, and they're keeping stock of the things I love most (Krispy Kreme donuts) with no issue. The staff are friendly and helpful, and you can tell they're doing their best to get things out in a timely manner. They're all right across the counter; you would be able to see if they were slacking!! The naysayers on here have probably never been to a grand opening before. This Royal Farms and it's employees killed it even though you could tell they weren't expecting such a large crowd! I'd give them a 10 out of 5 if I could! read more

What a total waste of time, went in for gas and thought we would go inside to check out the store. The store is nicely laid out but prices are extremely high. Had to try the World Famous Chicken. We ordered tenders and thighs . The tenders were not actually tenders but breasts and very salty. The thigh was better but certainly not the best. KFC blows it away!! We also ordered the chili to try it. We received a three ounce soufflé cup for 2.75 and it wasn't that good. What a total rip-off! In conclusion I would have to say don't waste your time, go to Wawa instead. Believe me when I tell you Wawa has nothing to worry about!!! read more
