My room was large, clean and thoughtfully decorated. There was a soaking tub plus a nice shower stall, along with good quality toiletries. It was quiet and I was able to sleep well. Amenities wise, we had meeting here and the catering was "fine". The staff was super nice. Overall, if you have to go to Muscatine, you should probably stay here.

Additionally, there is a small pub that serves only wine and beer. It's small and intimate. There are about five tables. The rooms are well-maintained, and I love that they keep everything eco-friendly. For example, they only change bedding every three days during your stay unless you request otherwise.

She was working breakfast and was helpful with a couple of things. I.E. I asked for a wet washcloth because the napkins don't hold up well for large messes. She brought me a warm wet washcloth.

My friend made the mistake of putting the $50 hold on her credit card. When I tried to check out at 6 AM (friend was sleeping), I wasn't able to pay for her room because of this $50 charge on her card. What?? The early morning clerk was a young lady with no knowledge and no power. She offered to call her manager but at 6 AM that seemed like a bad idea. I knocked on my friend's door but she was still sleeping. So for this little simple thing, we were very inconvenienced and it took me too long to get going on the road. I just opened my credit card bill two weeks later to find that $50 security charge on my card still there. I had to call this morning and they told me they didn't know anything about it. They removed it, they said but I don't see it. They advised me to call my bank. Sure, I should spend a long time on the phone because on their policies? No, thanks. I don't know if I would stay here again. I don't want to have to go through all the hassles and phone calls to pay. Seems as though the company could simplify this somehow.

I stayed in a one bedroom suite with kitchen and electric fireplace. The room was clean and amenities included: filtered water in the room, free high-speed wifi, cable TV, fireplace, bathtub, and small workout room. Breakfast can be had downstairs with fresh fruit, Organic and gluten-free options, cereals, muffins, breads, yogurts, etc... **This is not a full-service hotel as the front desk is not staffed 24/7. However, I was provided with a contact number should I need anything and my key was waiting for me when I arrived late that evening. I was most impressed with how well I slept due to the quiet silence permeating the entire lodge. My meditation and Yoga practice felt deeper than anywhere I've experienced. This hotel is in the countryside just a couple miles from the municipal airport, 6 miles to the center of town (Fairfield). It's also close to Maharishi University of Management where students, faculty and staff practice Transcendental Meditation twice a day. There are no conveniences like a market, gas station or restaurant near the hotel. Most of the suites have kitchens and there are a few grocery stores in town. There are several wonderful restaurants in town as well. I would recommend this hotel to any traveller who is not too high-maintenance.

I suppose those more luxurious rooms were more expensive than mine, but I loved my room. They all have closets and a tv. The bed and breakfast is clean and charming. It is a large house and has a very large living room, computer room, kitchen, dining room, a screened porch, and family room. If my count is correct, I believe they have five bedrooms, some of which are large an have multiple beds and a couple have a single bed. The b&b is filled with beautiful decor. The owners, Linda and Karl Reichert, are lovely people who welcomed my whole party with warmth and delicious food. They make amazing breakfasts. The day before, you are given a menu for a three course breakfast. You choose what you'd like for each course. The first course is a fresh fruit bowl, the second is a bread course, such as homemade scones or muffins, and the third is an entree, such as pancakes or egg concoctions. All of their food was homemade from scratch. The scones were the best I've ever had in my life. Linda told me she shares recipes and gave me her scone recipe. The yard is fantastic. They have a gazebo, apple and walnut trees, a flower garden, a vegetable garden, and fruit plants. The fresh fruit you eat in the morning and some ingredients for other dishes come from their own personal garden. There is plenty of room for children to play and pets to run. For entertainment, there are tvs in every room and in the family room, there is a dart board, they have board games, and Muscatine is only a ten minute drive. This bed and breakfast is everything a b&b should be. The home is wonderful, the yard is gorgeous, the food is delicious and the people are fantastic. I felt SO LUCKY to have found this place. The hosts were like family and sat me down to have some sherbet as soon as I arrived. (I likely looked a bit heat damaged!) My room was upstairs in the house was large with a bath. The breakfast was very tasty. I particularly liked that all the guests sat at the same table. Traveling alone makes this feature a real delight.

Weird. Not noted anywhere. Breakfast is a thing of the past at this one. Yeah they have one...but do they? The stay was find until 8am the next morning. We were woke up by hammering and sawing. I called to the front and they said they didn't hear anything. I then went down there, walked past reception and to the noise a couple doors down. It's the conference room they are renovating. I walked back to the reception desk, pointed to the mosie and went upstairs. It stopped. Until 10am. But better yet, they added sawing into metal...that's fun. Long story short, we reached out the the owner...nothing but condescending excuses. Funny thing, another person was checking out and they asked if he wanted his receipt? He couldn't hear...because sawing into metal lol...once he figured out what she was asking he rolled his eyes and walked out. But rest assured. We talked to the owner via email, he said they didn't start construction until 11am, and people next door to it couldn't hear anything. Yup ok Needless to say we have video of the noise at 10am, so I digress...just don't stay here. You're welcome.

Someone left there undergarments under the bed. Also I'm a bald guy so as soon as I pulled the the cover back I see long pieces of hair. Then when asked if I could change rooms because of this uncleanliness. I was told there was no more room available. It's safe to say, my first time in MT Pleasant was extremely UNPLEASANT
