I'm a small town girl that went to small town high school. Could not even imagine going to school…read moreat a place so large. I can't even think how the students get to their classes on time. However, on this particular check in, I was attending an event on a Saturday to watch my niece sing. It was a community event called a Fall Festival where different groups were performing from neighboring schools. That's all well and good, but there was no signage outside telling people the exact location to come in and buy tickets. From observation (and a text from a family member) assisted me in finding the right entry to the event. Inside, there isn't much signage to direct one to different parts of the school. You know how in stores they have arrows pointing you in the direction of a location (i.e. restroom, gym, cafeteria)? Not here. Would have been helpful. Once again, observation led me to the direction of the outdoor event, which I missed by a longshot because I was told my niece's performance would last from 11:30-12 and I still missed it even though I arrived by 11:45 :/ In all honesty, that comment was directed towards the organizers of the event who charged $2 for entry, but to host the festival at a place that lacks signage is not good. I can imagine some new kid trying to find classes on the first day becoming extremely overwhelmed by a place like this. I'm sure it's a great school, just had a doughy brained designer!

Lycee Montessori is truly a diamond in the rough, and I want to express my sincere appreciation for…read morethe open and effective communication we've experienced. It's clear that feedback is always mutually beneficial, leading to the best possible experience for my children. When I have had concerns, they have been typically addressed with thoughtfulness and care. If I feel there is an issue, the staff is quick to correct, and get to the root problem. The one area I could see for improvement would be around daily photo consistency. There are some days where the photos are flowing in, and others leaving us wondering what our children did for the day. It's nice to pair our conversations with them to photo proof. I would love to see more frequent daily photos so I can get a better, more consistent glimpse into my children's day and see their activities. I understand the staff is busy, and I want to emphasize that I'm looking for a smooth, efficient way to update this without it becoming an annoyance or a significant burden on their daily routine. Thank you again for everything your team does. We are very happy with our children's experience at Lycee Montessori.
