I've been in the store probably eight times never once had anyone that works there be friendly to me. Today I went in for my last time! I went back to the cooler to buy a $16 six pack of beer, when I pulled it out the top was covered with dirt and sticky. So I opened the cooler back up took two more six packs out to find a somewhat clean one. Looked over my shoulder and the old man is shaking his head at me telling me that they are all dirty and take what I get. As I went to the register he continued to give me a hard time for reaching in for a cleaner six pack. I told him "I wasn't going to buy a sixpack that was that disgusting on the top and it was no big deal to me so relax. I just reached in and got a clean one so to give it a rest and let me buy the beer." He told me "Go to some other store and get out he would call the cops" For what reason I don't know other than the fact that he is way to rude and grumpy to be working in a position where he has to interact with customers. I rarely take the time to write a review unless I go somewhere that is amazing or I go somewhere that is terrible. When I mentioned this to a few of my friends that are local to Fairfield they all said they hate this store and had the same experience where they always felt like they were not good enough to purchase beer here due to the attitude of this older man. I'm not sure if he's the owner but if he isn't the owner should try to get someone that's friendly to run his register.

They love what they consider to be the best white which is the Santorini Assyrtiko. It is a more mineral, bolder wine like a stainless steel-aged Athiri blends from the island of Santorini in Greece. It adds an extra layer of flavor body to the complexity of the seafood broth and enhances the briny, sea flavor of the dish with a bright, citrusy note. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I didn't find the bottle I was looking for, but I decided to substitute it with another one they suggested. There is plenty of parking available and it is conveniently located to get in and out of quickly.

Their higher end California choices are very good and for specific varieties like Cabernet or merlot (not my favorite but ok as as small %) there are choices. SERVICE- if you are dealing with the owners or family members you will find them most helpful and the uncle and nephew are fairly knowledgeable PRICES- it's Trumbull and high rent so prices are not rock bottom I'd say $$$ rather than $$ but there are enough options in the $$ range if stressed for cash VIRUS- they have a really cool system in place to pre-order safely.
