Took my first class with Malik today and I loved it. He gave us a good demo before getting started to make sure our form was right and gave us tips on how to keep the pace. He was very motivating and kept me engaged throughout the class even though I was definitely feeling the burn I was still motivated to give it all I had! My husband and I used to walk by this place for the longest time while shopping at Wiregrass. We kept saying to each other "Who would want to pay to just row? What a waste of money." Cut to a year later, I signed up for one of their deals to try them out. I'm now hooked. It is not just rowing. The staff are the nicest people I've had the pleasure of seeing when I go to class. I feel like I always get her name wrong, but Catherine at the front desk is so kind and attentive. Lots of great coaches. My go-to coaches are Jordan (constantly nurturing and encouraging you throughout the class) and Holly (tough love all the way. She knows for a fact you can do it. I've taken 6 classes. My sister signed us up for a free class. I enjoyed my free class! I sure was sore afterwards! It 45 minutes of fun! Each class also incorporates weights & exercises off the row machine. I've noticed my strength & endurance increasing with each class. The music is awesome! They have played Beyonce, Taylor Swift Ed Sheeran to name a few. Kathryn and Candace are awesome coaches. They're both motivating and encouraging! I love it when they call out our names along with words of encouragement! It makes me push harder! Hannah is a front desk person, she warm and helpful! My experience with the Row House, from the orientation to the customer service was exceptional! Hanna oriented us to the Row House including the different classes and packages. She was very professional and welcoming. Ya sold me on the experience, Hanna! :-) Saoirse was our instructor for our first class. She was energetic, positive, and kept the entire class engaged. Just when I didn't think I had anymore in me, Soairse was beside me like some pretty Yoda encouraging me to go just a bit longer! She was great! Love Love Love the Row House! Love the coaches, love the classes... I have never cared for cardio. I did cardio but didn't like it. But rowing?!? at the Row House?!? It's the exercise for me. A sense of community. Accountability. Rowing never gets boring because there's always a new event or challenge AND one of my favorites (besides the coaches) is being able to measure my progress by my own current and past performance and not against others! Beware. My wife enrolled here for a short membership before we moved and was taken advantage of. She was quoted a promotion and it was subsequently not honored. Then when she canceled they charged her for an additional month even tho we had long since moved to an area where there are no Row Houses. Spoke to David who assured me he would talk to the owner. Awaiting his reply. If the issue is resolved I will remove the review but otherwise it will remain. These gym business practices are deceptive. I enjoy supporting local businesses but it seems that Row House would rather operate like a Planet Fitness than a supportive locally owned and managed business. Hoping they do the right thing, refund us our money and fix this situation. read more

What an amazing workout! I came into the class thinking it would mainly be an upper body workout--boy, was I wrong! This is truly a total body workout that hits your glutes, hamstrings, quads, core, arms, and back--in that order. I've been taking their Signature class, which combines rowing intervals with some floor work. Highly recommend taking this class if you're new to rowing. Make sure to come to class 10 minutes early to get a little tutorial on proper form and getting set up on the rowing machine. The instructors are very motivating and explain things clearly. The music selection is awesome, and the whole class energy really gets you pumped to push your limits. If you need a low-impact workout that is high-energy, this is for you! I have lower back issues where most HIIT cardio classes that involve plyometrics (jumping) DO NOT work for me. Rowing will get your heart rate up and require so much from your muscles without any impact on your joints. Definitely recommend. read more

Update: I have now been a member for several months and it just keeps getting better. I have seen my strength and stamina increase significantly. Beyond that, I have gained so much confidence in my ability and I have shown that I can do so much more than I ever thought I could! The coaches are encouraging and really push you to do your best. It's not just the staff that makes this place so great. I have made some amazing friends here and we have really come together to support each other. Last week, we completed a half marathon row. As people finished, they didn't leave. They all stayed to cheer on those still rowing until every person was done. You just won't find this kind of community at other gyms. If you haven't tried Row House yet, you are missing out on a place that will truly help create positive changes in your life. I signed up for Row House before they opened. Their manager took the time to explain how they work and the benefits of rowing. I was so excited when they opened! I have taken several classes since they opened and I love it more and more each time! Everyone there seems genuinely happy to see you and are so positive and motivating. It is amazing to see the same people in your classes and it is really starting to feel like a community. This is so cool, I join the class out of curiosity and found it to be an amazing class, you get the cardio, the work out that gets the muscles and fact that the exercises are great that help tone the body. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at the Row House. The staff was friendly and the format for the workout was really fun making the time pass quickly. I have been coming to this location for almost 3 years now and it has been the best workout experience I have had. I have worked out quite a lot throughout my life mainly on my own but these group sessions really change your perspective and push you way past the limits you think that you have. The lead coach Candace really works with you and help you achieve your goals, both on the rower and off the rower as we do a lot of strength exercises here. Front desk staff Hannah and Kathryn are so nice and helpful and really go above and beyond to create a warm and friendly atmosphere that is inviting to come back each time. After a trial class, I signed up for more Row classes and I have to say this has been a great experience so far. The staff is very friendly and explains everything very well. I find it exceptional that when you give your name when you walk in for sign in that they welcome you to the #.. classes you have taken, like they remember it on the top of their head which makes you feel very welcome and not just a number that is walking through the door. The class trainer is very professional, gives clear instructions, gives personal attention and it is fun on top of a good work out to sweat it out in a clean environment. Receiving the work out towel and at the end of the session you receive the nice eucalyptus smelling cleaning cloth to wipe off the equipment, is what gives this work out a very professional and great experience. This is an awesome low impact workout. The classes are in a really cool room with lighting similar to a spin class. Prior to arrival it was nice to receive a call checking in and confirming my booking; per their request I arrived about 15 mins early for a quick tour and rundown of the class and proper rowing technique (super helpful so you aren't lost or embarrassed once class begins). Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. The place was absolutely immaculate and I felt very safe as it pertains to COVID guidelines. The class itself was so good, the instructor was explained every movement and section thoroughly so I didn't feel lost or confused -- and his music was on point!! What I loved about this class is the low impact factor; you still get a FULL body workout without the impact on your joints (in particular knees, in my case). You are also in your own "zone" so you don't feel pressure from all the people around you -- I like to call this, 'fake it til you make it!'. I joined the new Wiregrass Row House two months ago; and as a runner who had never been on a rowing machine (erg) before I was unsure what to expect. Well I can tell you that the Row House classes offer an amazing low impact full body workout that engages most of your bodys' muscles and within the six different classes incorporate either off the erg dumbbell workouts, stretching and body weight exercises. There is also a full row class and a stroke class to perfect your form. Wiregrass Row House is clean and beautiful. The coaches are all amazing at what they do. They will motivate you to do your best and then some..Every employee there is fantastic and will make you feel like you are a big part of the Wiregrass crew..They will give you attainable goals and throw in special themed classes that are a blast! Love love love this gym! A great low impact high calorie burn work out with great coaches and up beat music that makes the workout fun and exciting . I'm in a zone during the classes, the fluctuating lighting and great coaches to push and inspire you to row faster and harder is so much fun. Members are friendly , management and staff are always friendly & professional and always accommodating. The studio is always clean, they provide towels and water for the members. I love the variety of classes but my all time fav is Hip Hop Power, it will push you to your limits but there are scaling options for all fitness levels. As a gym rat, I am a member of few gyms but my all time fav is Row House Wiregrass , love the workout the people and feeling great after every class !
