They let us know that the panini machine was broken and someone was working on it, so that buggered up my plan to order the turkey panini. I ended up ordering a grilled chicken sandwich. Husband decided to go big with a chili dog The place is clean - but I do have to mention that these terribly uncomfortable chairs made my back hurt just looking at them, so we ate quickly They have a little book sitting at the front bar, where they give you all sorts of information on Holbrook, which is kind of cool. It included a list of places to stay, things to see and do in the city and campgrounds.- quite fun that they have taken the time to put that together. Honestly, the food wasn't all that memorable and maybe it was because I had my heart set on that turkey Panini. The chicken sandwich was fine and my husband's hot dog was good but very messy as one would expect. The fries weren't very hot. It was just OK. $29 before tip

There's sandwiches, panini's, wraps and delectable sweets. The service is stellar and everyone is so kind. We had a great meal with too much food and there was not one inch of disappointment! If you find yourself in Holbrook, this is the only place to eat.

Arizona Sake, not a liquor store…read more.. Read about Atsuo Sakurai's labor of love, his personal love story too, in Smithsonian Magazine 2021* and immediately started to source his high-grade sake but to no avail. Being a sake fan, definitely not an aficionado, I shared what I'd read and my failed quest for Sakurai's USA made product with a relentless foodie friend. It reminded us both of our sake sipping days at the now closed Santa Monica Airport's restaurant, Typhoon **. Christmas gift exchange. I gave my friend sourdough starter. Hey, it was the tail end of the pandemic. My treat was a chilled bottle of Atsuo Sakurai's raw unprocessed, premium Junmai Ginjo sake. We shared, sipped, savored soul soothing elixir at my dining room table. I never did find out how that fine bottle made it there though. Photographed the bottle but self-editing me deleted it, didn't review Arizona Sake either concerned Yelp would 86 both because I didn't visit AZ. May still remove. Read it while it's here... Fortunately, Arizona Sake is now readily available through many US retailers in both AZ and CA like Whole Foods, Total Wine. "Junmai" signifies no added brewer's alcohol, while "Ginjo" indicates high-level polishing and fermentation at lower temperatures. Junmai Ginjo is a premium sake brewed using only rice, water, yeast, and koji, with the rice polished to at least 60% (meaning 40% or more is removed). It is known for its light, fruity, and aromatic profile. People underestimate sake because it arrives politely. Sake is a gentleman that kisses your knuckles and pulls out your chair. Just a whisper of sweetness, a hint of rice, and a small bite of alcohol. Then forty minutes later it, has altered the emotional climate and everyone's made bad decisions. Sake is great and this one, Arizona Sake, bites back. He's sassy. He's a scrappy! It's impressive that the city Holbrook, AZ (population of 4,858 as of 2020) has its own sake brewer. Support local.
