Not sure if I would think this way in more larger towns. It is really nothing to look at. It is not really decorated in any which way and it doesn't scream "Cookhouse". It more screams like my aunt's dining room. When we were there, there was one server and she was AMAZING but run off her feet. Really for the amount of people in the place (during COVID) it was full. She did an awesome job being upbeat, friendly and fast as she could be. We were sure to tip her well. It is a typical bar food menu. My kid and I not being bar food type chose the pad Thai - one with shrimp and one with chicken. My husband had the chicken bacon club and my little one had the kids grilled cheese. It was a while for the food to come, but it was expected because of how busy it was. Food came and it was really good. My kiddo and I were not expecting much for a bar but the pad Thai was really different than what we are used to but equally delicious. It had an amazing peanut sauce and the portion was huge. I couldn't eat it all. I really rate restaurants on how well they do a kids plate, and this one was great. The grilled cheese was on speciality bread and had two kinds of cheese on it.
