Had back surgery beginning of Dec 2025 and Dr Kepler and his team were great. However, I would not recommend Rothman to anyone needing FMLA paper work filled out. Rothman charges a $30 fee and then an additional $15 for the return to work firm. Rothman uses Jefferson University Hospital for surgery and I would just go directly to Jef. it's just a matter of principle that you would charge a fee for FMLA firms. Also Penn Mefucine does not charge a fee. read more

How did Rothman's Chalfont branch lose a patient 0f 3 years? Others, in a recent rating, viewed them as 1.72 stars, out of 5! BAD! Because of my unfavorable experience, I rate them as 1.50 stars. Their website states "that most customers are generally dissatisfied". It also comments that they have ".... mixed, often poor reviews regarding administrative services". True! Further, ".... patient complaints include long wait times & poor communications". Also true! My bad story follows: in Oct., 2025, I received proper knee shots for arthritic knees by Dr. Schroeder, who did an excellent job. As per practice, the nurse scheduled me for an appointment in 6 months. However, the appointment date was rescheduled 2 more times by Rothman, making the interval time 6 1/2 months in which my knees suffered during the "extra" 1/2 month. Consequently, I sent a complaint email to the President of Rothman on Apr. 14, 2026. although no reply was received from his staff, my visit on May 4th experienced retaliation by the Chalfont staff. First of all, I was not taken "in order of entry" following the Kiosk ap[plication. Next, D.O. Rosero, unlike all previous times in which I sat on the table with legs dangling, had me lay down which is also also a first time. Why? He then injected both knees in a method that has not been done before! That is, for my right knee, he did not inject the ORTHOVISC shot in the front, right side of the knee as before, but instead into the rear, right side of the knee. Why? Was the different shot method also retaliation? On May 11th the last of 3 consecutive weekly shots were administered by the D.O. and the right knee is still experiencing soreness, 10 days afterwards! I hope that such does not continue for the next 6 months, until the next shot is received. Anyway, a Rothman physician will NOT perform the service because I am going to go to another, non Rothman doctor for the shots. read more

Don't love the way they run their practice. Doctor refused to give results over the phone after we got the mri . They force you to come back in for results but the issue is they cant get you in for a week or more leaving you to fend for yourself with your injuries and no guidance. My son continued to play sports even though they had the results and knew he had an injury . Not ok ! Just a money grab to get a follow up visit out of you. A simple phone call advising him not to play would have been helpful as we waited for our follow up appointment . read more

Just got home from a full hip replacement today. Surgery was yesterday. I was blown away by how wonderful every single person was that helped me along the way, from the men at the front desk to the doctors and nurses! The care was top notch that's for sure! When I met Dr. Purtill for my initial visit a few weeks ago I had a good feeling the minute he walked into the room. He has a great energy and wanted to help me to get back to a better life without the hip pain I have endured for over ten years. So glad I decided to go with Rothman! read more

I went into the Bensalem location and also the king of Prussia location. in severe back pain. both locations push me out the door like nothing is wrong, shit x-ray shows nothing and they should know that.. instead they x-ray and tell me I'm fine it's just muscle spasms... I didn't believe it after being in pain for years. instead I pay for my own mri and a pain management doctor finds, degenerate disc disease , two bulging discs, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and pinched nerves. So now I'm dealing with Jefferson health and couldn't feel any better about my care. Stop sending me bills for horrible service. you did nothing to earn my money if anything I should get my money back and sue for definition of character (your young) stay away from this place. read more

While the front office staff and the nurses were great, the doctor who saw me (the most important part) gave me hardly any time with him. It felt very rushed and just like I was a ticket to punch. If I could give no stars, I would. my impression is that Rothmans main goal is making money! I found Dr. Austin (to whom I was referred) arrogant and dispassionate. Next was that being a senior with Medicare and BC/BS, they managed to not have my costs paid for under these insurances. I have never been billed for any services that have not been paid for by these insurances. Having had major back surgery twice in the last 2 years, where everything was covered. I would never recommend Rothman for any reason. read more

In 2016 I was a patient here (knee) and the staff/doctor was incredibly polite, incredibly knowledgeable and the experience could not have been better. Fast forward to 2020, and I'm back for another issue (elbow). New doctor was not "quick to cut"....she took the time to learn my history, talked to me (not at me) and after examining me and my MRI determined that my local orthopedic doctor might not have taken the best path to resolve my issue, so we're on a new path. It's nice to see surgeons who don't jump to surgery as the solution if it's not really necessary. The skill, quality and level of expertise at Rothman is worth the drive. I'll continue to be a patient here for all my "big" issues! read more

Subject*: BE WARNED. OVER BOOK AVOID MONDAYS. 2-3 hour waiting for  Doctor; no patient history taken at first visit I've been to Rothman for a broken wrist a year ago. No extended wait times. Sept. 30 and Oct. 7, I accompanied my 95 yr. Old mother ,in a wheel chair, for an orthovisc Injections to see if she gets any relief. 1st visit- 3 hr. Wait.  Never given a tablet to complete  medical history. Dr. told us that front desk forgot about us.  He gave her Orthovisc  and explained that it could help, We'd have to wait until all needles were given.  Two more needles to go. Oct. 7-  Mom was given another  orthovisc injection and tolerated  it very well. We waited 3 hours  to see the doctor and no tablet was given  to take history. Dr. said that the tablet was the duty of the front desk and the front desk told me that the doctors   physician asst. Would provide.??????? I'm astounded that no Care is  taken to ensure that a patient history is done before a  procedure.  Even if the procedure is an injection. I spoke to Office Manager and told her we'd fill it out on our third visit. We've spent a total of 7 hours in two office visits  and no tablet was offered. They act like you're bothering them at front desk. The excuses are entirely lame and unprofessional. They were willing to take my information and moved with assertiveness until I told him it was a Workmen's Comp. claim, and then I will put me on hold for several minutes. Called back again finally got someone and they said they don't wanna talk to me those exact words until I have the information that they need and basically hung up on me -very rude, ignorant and unprofessional. I've searched for months for a shoulder doctor near me that performs partial shoulder replacement called a Ream and Run. The nearest I could find was Dr Namdari at Rothman Ortho. He and his nurse Stephanie are amazing! Dr Namdari has a great bed side manner and will answer every question to you with detail. I had a few post op concerns which were quickly answered by nurse Stephanie. I also had top notch care at the hospital before and after my operation. I have never waited more than 10 minutes for a clinical visit. read more

And if you are of the opinion that this a health danger, let me tell you that NONE of the doctors, nurses, or clerks I saw elected to wear a mask. These are the medical professionals who know, far more than most, the "dangers" of daring to go maskless. I have no idea why RI has less than 5 stars. My experience has been amazing. Had a RTKA with Dr. Matthew Austin 5 days ago and couldn't be happier. From my first appointment until now it's been amazing. I had sx at ROSH , which was an amazing experience. Fine oiled machine. From check in until check out I was treated great. I love, love, love Mouy , Dr Austin's nurse. She has been so involved every step of the way. Also, some one has checked in on me daily. The sx went so well. Pain level is minimal. My meds regimen is great , I've hardly used a narcotic. I think two Percocets the first two days and 4 tramadol the first 4 days. Muscle relaxers seem to help me most, I take them 3x daily. Mouy, Dr Austins nurse said it'd be a rough ride the first two weeks however, a good support team and their exercise program has helped so much. You must do exercises no matter how much stiffness you have. The stiffness and swelling after sx is what kills you most, ots not pain its awful stiffness.All in all not so bad. I'm a 45 year old female with a bmi of 28, not the best shape. But, I feel this sx and rothman has given me a knew lease on life. I give rothman 5 stars and would recommend Dr Austin and Mouy to anyone. Also, if you have a choice go to ROSH, the staff rock!. read more

I've been seeing Dr.Craig Rubinstein for about 22 years. My knees are headed for replacement but I'm too young and they are holding their own. Mostly with shots every few years from Dr. Rubinstein. The staff is very friendly. In and out in under a half hour on a regular basis. I followed him over the years from Voorhees to Newtown Square and finally Bensalem. Well worth the travel. I just came back from an appointment for a knee issue. My scheduled appointment time was at 8:30am and I left the building by 8:51am-- I saw the doctor and had x-rays done on site. I spent maybe 10 minutes total waiting (IF THAT!). I was very pleased with the amount of time it took to me to be seen... I was in and out. I got there around 8:10am because I like to arrive early. My only "complaint" is that I found it a little confusing to find the office at first... I initially pulled into the hospital parking lot but I walked inside and the receptionist was very kind to let me know that I needed to go to the second parking lot that says Holy Reedemer and the office was on the 2nd floor. No big deal, honestly.... more of a warning in case you plan on going here. The staff was very nice and the building is very clean and spacious. I filled out most of my forms online so I didn't have to do much when I came in. I did have to do one thing but it was on an iPad which I found very easy... I liked that a lot instead of having to fill something out with a pen. I also liked that they x-rayed me on site... that's convenient. Driving wise, it's very direct and easy to get to. You can't beat it. I'm very glad I checked this office out. . I'm overall satisfied with my visit. I would recommend this office and definitely go back myself should I ever have another issue. read more

Literally the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor's office. Firstly trying to get an appointment was awful, none of the people I spoke to even knew what they were doing. I had to wait 2 weeks + to even get the 1st appointment scheduled because of a surgery that I had 3 months prior that had nothing to do with what I want seeing them for. Once I finally got the appointment scheduled I called my doctor's office for the referral using the mpi/npi number that they gave me. They waited until the day before my appointment to call me and tell me the referral supposedly wasn't in correctly. So I called my primary doctors office back and had them put in another referral the way they said it was supposed to be put it (multi specialty) and I got the referral Id # this time. Called Rothman back and of course no once could help me so I had to wait for a call back. They called me back at 4:20 pm (they close at 4:30) and said it was still supposedly not in correctly, so I called my doctor's office back again to confirm it was put in correctly and they confirm that it was but when I went to call Rothman back at 4:25pm it just kept going to voicemail. Fast forward to the next day, I get up early to be at my 7:45 appointment and of course they say the referral isn't in!! They then tell me I would have to self pay in order to see the doctor and have an attitude the entire time! Don't waste your time with this office. It's just not worth it. I walked out and wasted my morning and wasted gas at $4.00 a gallon to go there for nothing because none of the people at this place want to do their job. I will never go back there and I will also be contacting the BBB about this and emailing their corporate office as well. This is ridiculous. read more

So after another graceful incident involving my knee, I ended up on the road to Bensalem to see my favorite surgeon, Dr. Frederick. For a south jersey native, it took about an hour and ten minuted to get here, mainly because of all the freaking road construction. It's in an office park directly across from the Parx Casino, so after you get your pain meds you can gamble uninhibitedly. Yay! The place is huge, and truly the future of medicine. Seven doctors with a team of fifty support folks process you assembly line style through check-in, paperwork, more paperwork (seriously), xrays, a resident vist, and finally to the Doc. In all, it was a pleasant organized experience that let me interact with the doctor and receive the treatment I needed, ask the questions I wanted answered, and overall was very pleasant. It did, however, feel a lot like getting my tires rotated up at Sears until I actually had the chance to interact with the Doc, but hey, that stuff is all usually fluff to us as patients anyway, so if its efficiently handled fluff, who cares. Great pleasant effective staff. Yay Rothman! read more

I had ankle surgery with Dr. Ahmad about two and a half weeks ago. Dr. Ahmad is one of the most kind, caring and friendly surgeons who I have ever met. His assistants are great too, I am so pleased, thrilled actually because I am making a lot of progress in my recovery from surgery. I have all reasons to expect a full recovery. This feels great to have finally resolved an issue with my ankle that has been plaguing me for years. I have seen other doctors at Rothman for various health issues, they are knowledgeable, smart and really know their stuff. I know that I can trust them with my health care needs. So many people trust them, it's comforting to know that I can receive such great care. I completely trust Dr. Ahmad and I am so happy. I have been treated so well there, I feel so privileged. read more

Surgery overall was a success. At 59 I was advised to return at a later age and was offered and accepted a shot of cortisone in my hip which worked for a month. ($275 down the drain and time wasted.) After surgery I was prepared to go to a rehab facility and feeling so great on my release day (24 hrs later) I was advised to go home. I did. This review is to advise you that if you live alone, do NOT go home alone. I was in excellent condition (working out the day before my operation, no outlining health issues; etc.) You will be so pumped up with drugs on your release day that you will think you are good. The drugs wear off and then pain sets in. Not wanting to continue of opioids, I asked for something and was prescribed a muscle relaxer (by a Bensalem roth dr, not my surgeon.) The script instructions were wrong! This was not the pharm's error, but Rothman's. I hallucinated for 24 hours. Out of mind, I was on the verge of passing out. When PT came I was no longer hallucinating, but my BP was so dangerously low that PT was required by law to call 911 or my dr. My surgeon was called and I was given the correct instructions for the drug. Good docs, bad post-surgery care/instructions. (Apparently, the pmt to the dr's by the ins co is less if the patient goes to rehab post surgery. Unclear as to why when my ins co was only going to pay $25 of the $275/day towards rehab.) I have had bilateral knee replacements and right hip. I am now going to have my left hip and there is no question to where I will be going, Dr. Austin. He is wonderful and the staff is amazing and his nurse Mouy, well I can not even say enough great things about her. The doctors are excellent and I'm very glad I had the surgery. But beware the Physical Therapy facility in Bensalem because of their billing practices. I had finished physical therapy elsewhere after 3 months rehab and was given my graduation papers by my surgeon. However to get a final home regimen he suggested I stop by their physical therapy dept. (same floor in Bensalem) on my way out instead of bothering to return to the Physical Therapist in my home town I had been going to for months. He suggested it would be more convenient because it was just down the hall. The therapist looked at my history for a minute and spent at most 5 minutes with me, standing up near the receptionist, giving me some home exercises. A month later I received 2 bills. I was told I was being charged for an "evaluation" plus a therapy session. But I had already had my evaluation after surgery at my primary physical therapist and - I was done, healed, finished, and had just stopped in for a final home exercise routine. I called Rothman billing and they said that was how the visit was written up and I owed the money, even though I explained I didn't have an "evaluation" (which would involve measuring motion limits, and writing up a chart for motor ability and pain levels, etc.). So that "convenience" of not going up the street to the Physical Therapist I had been going to for months, to spend 5 minutes with the one up the hall, cost me an extra $75 after insurance dealt with the $200 bill for the evaluation that never happened (other than on paper). The surgeon was excellent, which is why 3 stars - averaging 5 stars for the surgeon and 1 star for the Physical Therapy Department and their billing practices. read more

I was referred by my sports medicine doctor to go the Rothman. When I called to make an appointment the scheduler told me basically that I was too fat for any orthopedic surgery and that Dr. Austin wouldn't touch me. She told me to keep seeing the sports medicne doctor and keep getting shots then when I lose the weight to give them a call back and then they will help me. WOW! Imagine how shocking that is to hear. I know in order to have hip surgery I have to lose 50lbs, of this Iam aware, but to have someone say to you they can't help you because you are fat and keep suffering is just shocking. When I do get this weight off I will not be making and appoitment to see Dr. Austin. I do have an appointment to see my sports medicine doctor who happens to be friends with Dr. Austin. This institution has no regard for people's time. Waited 2 1/2 hrs, Whole experience took over 3 hrs. Their scheduling is a disgrace and no one seems to care. With all that wait you are lucky to see the Dr. for 10 min. Went into a full waiting room at 2:15 and saw people come in, get called and leave. At 4:30 I was the last person in the room. When asked receptionist she kept saying the same thing "you are next" . Don't know how Rothman got such a monopoly in the Phila. area. I am sure there are many other good doctors out there too. Rothman spends lots of money to get all this recognition. I am not sure it is deserving. Maybe we should all check out other doctors. Maybe Rothman Institute would get the message. Unfortunately, I DOUBT IT. I do want to say that Rothman doctors are probably very good, my complaint is the way appointments are scheduled. Dr. Namdari is incredible! I had to have surgery on my shoulder and he explained the procedure and made me feel extremely comfortable before and during the surgery. My surgery went extremely well and I'm beyond grateful to have found Dr. Namdari who goes above and beyond what any doctor would do. read more

My girlfriend & I will never use Rothman again, 9 weeks after seeing them & $4,000 later still no answers on an ankle injury. They billed us twice for one visit and don't have us a hard time about not having the entire copay. She broke down in tears in the MRI office cause she can't deal with the Pain anymore. No regaurds to the patient or their family, not an organization to deal with. They claim to be the best in the business but I don't think they are. read more

I arrived at 8:15 for my 830 appointment yesterday. The building is beautiful and clean and I was pleasantly surprised how warm and friendly each member of the staff was to me. After signing in electronically within two minutes my name was called to give my insurance card and co-pay. Once again I was greeted with a smile and friendliness. I sat down again but within 2 to 3 minutes I was called for x-rays. The technician was professional yet extremely friendly which put me at ease to my upcoming prognosis. When the x-rays were finished I went back to the waiting room but was within minutes called again to see the doctor. Dr. Namdari was amazing as he examined me and gave me my options for treatment in a clear and concise manner. To my surprise ,which is truly unusual for a doctors appointment, I was back in my car by 9:00. I highly recommend The Rothman Institute for their friendly professional staff and punctual appointments. read more

I have never been as frustrated in working with a medical group as I have been with the Rothman Institute. I called early 2013 to get an appointment for lower back and hip pain. I explained to the person who answered the phone that my PCP had already pre-diagnosed my condition as either my SI joint or a spine issue. I got a March 6th appointment with the first doctor. This doctor does NOT specialize in either of these areas. He spoke with me and looked at X-rays that were taken of my hip. He said there does not appear to be any arthritis and sent me home with a prescription for 800mg ibuprofen. After 30 days, I returned for my follow-up appointment on April 3rd. This time he actually examined me and stated that it is most likely either SI joint or a spine issue (sound familiar?) and referred me to their nonsurgical spine specialist. My appointment was set for April 30th. He also ordered a CT scan to be reviewed by the specialist. I asked why a CT scan and not an MRI. He did not provide what I felt was a satisfactory answer. I had the CT Scan on April 15th I contacted the specialist's clinical nurse on April 19th and explained my frustration. I also explained that I wanted the doctor to view the CT scan BEFORE my appointment because I suspected that he was going to want an MRI done. She also asked why a CT scan was ordered and not an MRI. I didn't have an answer. Although very sympathetic and courteous, she was not able to ensure this was done. Apparently they had an issue receiving the CT scan results, regardless of the fact that I called St. Mary's myself to ensure they were sent. They were sent to a main Rothman office and I had to give them an alternate fax number for the Bensalem office. Seems odd that Rothman is unable to communicate and provide results between their own locations. I finally saw the specialist on April 30th. As predicted, he wanted an MRI done. When leaving that appointment, I spoke with the office manager, Kathy Rees to explain my dissatisfaction in the process thus far. She stated that sometimes it's difficult to get into the specialists and the first doctor was an opportunity for me to be screened prior to being referred further. I should have been provided an option to either wait for the specialist or be screened earlier. I did advise that my PCP had already screened and referred me. Additionally, why would the screening process take 60 days and two office appointments? At that point I am financially responsible for additional $25 office co-pay as well as the $565 co-pay for the CT Scan. (I haven't even received the bill for the MRI yet, but I'm sure it's another $500 at least). Ms. Rees was very curt and did not even offer to waive an office co-pay. My follow-up with the specialist was on Monday, May 13th. He explained that the MRI showed some minor issues in my lumbar area that may or may not be resulting in the pain I am experiencing. My best option for pain relief would probably be in the form of an injection, but that we would need to try physical therapy first. By now, I've had it and asked him to give me a copy of all my records as I will be pursuing this issue at another facility. I do not have any complaints regarding the specialist. I told him that we should be 60 days further in this process if things were handled correctly from the start, and his recommendations were simply too little too late. 60 days is a LONG time when you are in chronic pain. That being stated, I am still willing to start over, rather than continue to be treated poorly by this organization. I completely understood that this would be a long process and that we would not resolve this issue overnight. HOWEVER, this process was extended by at least 60 days and $600 due to the miss-direction and the unnecessary CT Scan. I could even understand and be patient with this mistake if I had been treated as more than a number and co-pay to them. read more

BEWARE- SHADY BILLING PRACTICES Had shoulder surgery here the end of June. When I showed up for surgery I had to sign a paper saying I understood that anesthesia would bill me seperately and my copay for the surgery was $300.00 to be paid to Rothman. ROTHMAN SPECIALTY HOSPITAL billed and was reimbursed by my insurer (Aetna) for my surgery. As per the paper they required me to sign, UNITED ANESTHESIA SERVICES (UAS) also billed Aetna, who would not reimburse them saying that per agreement UAS would be paid by Rothman. UAS began harassing me and saying they should be paid $3,000.00 directly by me!. I call the billing office at Rothman and they also say they have no agreement to pay UAS for services provided to me and as per the paper they required me to sign UAS billed seperatel. I call Aetna again who calls UAS with me also on the line, and they explain to the UAS rep that as they had arranged when approving my surgery, anesthesia payment was included in the payment sent to Rothman. "OK, we will stop billing the patient" the UAS rep says. WTF? Why did they make me sign a paper with incorrect information, and why did the business office misinform me regarding payment practice/arrangements? Meanwhile I never recieved a bill from the ROTHMAN surgeon who performed the procedure, and when I call to find out why they tell me it is because I have no balance due, in fact I have a credit of $550 (I was asked to pay this out of pocket on the day surgery was scheduled). I am waiting for them to send me all my account activity so I can see what is going on there. I don't know why I had to ask for a record of account activity or why they never sent the excess payment to me. GO TO PREMIER ORTHO INSTEAD-my husband had the same surgery there a few weeks before I had mine at Rothman -he is recovering well and there were no billing problems, so NOT ONLY CAN THEY PROVIDE THE SERVICES, THEY ARE COMPETENT AND STRAIGHT FORWARD WITH BILLING PROCEDURES. read more

Went to see the orthopedic doctor today(Leinberry) with extreme pain to my hand and he released me back to work. He showed no compassion to my injury, didn't explain anything to me on what the next steps was. Wrote a script to use only one hand at work and rest the other....duh I do data entry all day..sad. He ordered therapy for 6 weeks and return to work full duty at the same time using only one hand (confusing). Got second opinion and my primary and hand surgeon confirmed carpal tunnel . Do not see this physician cause he has no empathy, no respect, and no compassion for the patient. Not judging other physicians but he is the cancer of prestigious doctors at Rothman. read more

Saw Dr. Taweel in Podiatry for ongoing pain in my feet. In a 45 minute visit (total!) did checkin, Xrays, he diagnosed two problems, set me up with an orthotic and I was out. Confirmed the meds I'm on and really gave me a boatload of awesome info on shoes, meds, etc. I haven't completed so much at one appointment ever. Great doctor and wonderfully efficient company. I have to say the worst experience I ever had from staff and doctor. Nobody knows what the other is doing . You get a different answer with every follow up and sent all over the place to end up where you started in the first place. Never again! Main reason health insurance is so high. read more

DO NOT go to Rothman under any circumstances.Do not let Dr. Matthew Austin perform a joint replacement on you. Two and a half years ago I made the mistake of having a total knee replacement because I had severe joint pain. I went into it with high hopes and came away from it disabled, unable to go up stairs and am in constant pain. I was told to report to the hospital at noon, which I did. At four p.m. I was still in the pre op area feeling very sick because I had been fasting ( as instructed) from 10pm the night before. I was told the Doctor was running behind. At five fifteen Dr. Austin came into the pre op area and told me I would be taken into surgery directly. It was then that I found out that Dr. Austin had been doing surgery since 5a.m. that morning!!!!! He looked pale and exhausted, I told him I wanted to postpone the surgery but he insisted that he was fine.I will regret having that surgery for the rest of my life. Clearly the Doctor was not in any condition to perform the knee replacement, and clearly the doctor schedules too many procedures a day. I firmly believe he botched my knee replacement and just couldnt admit it. I spent months in rehab to no avail. DrAustin said I needed to have the knee replaced again. There is no chance in hell I would ever let him touch me again. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HACK...... OR YOU WILL REGRET IT. read more

The surgical center was a nightmare. If I was just there for the surgery, all would have been fine, but I needed to stay overnight. Most of the issues were due to one nurse and the poor decisions that she and the on care doctor made, independent of my surgical doctor and anesthesiologists instructions. They outright lied to me and the anesthesiologist when he called in. Thank goodness he called my cell. He was told I was absolutely fine moments before, though the nurse had seen me with my teeth chattering uncontrollably from the pain. I have had other surgeries before and never been treated like this! Nor been in such unbearable pain. I apparently was at the top of the pain management scale, something I had never heard of before, but ok. So does that mean I must be treated like a criminal that is lying and not treated for pain? When my anesthesiologist asked if I was given certain pain meds, I said no, he hung up, I heard the phone in the hallway ring and within five minutes I suddenly was getting the care I not only deserved, but needed, by the oncare doctor and nurse. The anesthesiologist continued to check in with me for the rest of the day via my cell. My mother heard both the nurse and doctor lie to my doctors on the phone when they did not know she was in the hallway. We were horrified to say the least. Of course, I was the only one there after 3pm, so the nurse was in the next room watching tv most of the time. I also needed two blood transfusions. Each took between 3-4 hours to arrive from their contracted blood bank. I did not check out until 11:10pm that evening, and that was when we decided to forgo the final tests, which would have put us there for another hour. The entire experience was unbelievable. This was the almighty Rothman Group? I don't care how great my surgeon is, I would never recommend anyone going to Rothman- the surgical center was a nightmare. The offices are just packed waiting rooms with patients waiting hours. Literally. I walked out of there the first day with a cast on my leg, a script for pain meds, no idea how to care for it (not even a handout or a shower recommendation). Honestly, If I wasn't in pain then and had my wits about me, I would have never turned back after that first visit. No one understands cost. I was given the number of one person who gave me the number of another person, etc. I have a phone contact sheet with 13 numbers on it just to figure out billing and insurance coverage. And then there are the bills that they never tell you about, but you get charged for later because every service is subcontracted. But no one tells you this. I was quoted a fee and told it would cover "everything". I now know that it only covers your visit. Definitely not your (multiple) casts and splints, bloodwork, ultrasounds, etc. This place is a mill. All the employees are just too overworked to remember that the broken bones are in people, living caring people. I just truly hope my surgeon was good, because this entire experience with Rothman has been horrible. read more

Absolutely the worst place ever! Dr. Anderson told me the way I am now is the best I'll ever be I'm too young for total knee replacement, but recognized that I tore my ACL in my other leg from compensating for 2 years! Apparently he's an orthopedic surgeon who doesn't do surgery. I had an MRI and X-rays done less than a weak before my visit and I had to have the X-rays done again there? More $. I asked if I'll ever run again cause I was a runner before the injury he said your 40 it's time to stop running because he did at that age? Rothman institute is a jiffy lube for knees do not go there they want you in and out with no compassion. The best part was when I was waiting for my check out in a crowded waiting room after his non helpful diagnosis when the lady kept calling for Mr. Davis for about 20 seconds I finally looked up at her she gave me attitude I said my last name isn't Davis it's Daley! Awful awful awful experience stay away. P.S. I can't give no stars if I could I'd give negative stars. read more
