The Rothe House museum displays many archaeological finds from around the surrounding countryside showcasing the history of the area and how people lived here in the past. There are Celtic artifacts from the 9th century, costumes from the 19th and 20th century, grave from the Bronze age, and various items from the region. The house itself is also great to explore dating back to the 16th century.
In addition, there is a gorgeous garden which was is a faithful recreation of the 17th century Rothe family garden. The plants and trees being grown now are the same varieties as you would have found then based up plans and even origin pollen and seeds that were discovered.
All in all, Rothe House is an hour well spent taking a walk through history. read more
