I had bought and enjoyed the gluten free fish and chips here years ago, but my recent order in April was not gluten free and the batter hard as a rock. This made me throw up all the food I ate whilst having the shivers and sweats due to gluten poisoning. I called the restaurant and they said they would replace the meal, but then argued with me unless I was prepared to go all the way to them, I could not get a meal replacement or refund. Bear in mind I'm disabled with no car, and I ordered through Uber eats. Uber eats did not deal with my complaint and also shrugged it off. This is a fantastic chip shop one of the best in Swansea, you can either eat in or take out. They sell the usual rissoles , chips , fish , sausages which are all good quality. They also sell homemade pie which although is a bit expensive but it tastes lovely and is filled with beef. There is a costumer carpark which often gets filled up at peak times. The chipshop gets very busy and so there is often a queue but you do get served very quickly by a great team of staff who are very helpful and friendly. Like Joe's ice cream parlours, Rossi's was founded by Italian immigrants. But in place of a secret Italian family recipe, Rossi's serves good old fashioned British fish 'n' chips. This is where we get our chips from when I'm at my gran's house. They are big, fat proper chips served in paper, none of this skinny fries nonsense. There is also a huge range of fish, sausages, battered sausages, cod roe, rissoles, curry sauce, beans, gravy all you'd expect from a comprehensive chip shop. I have been going to rossis since I was a kid and the food quality hasn't changed. The food is well priced and filling. When eating inside they give massive portions so be prepared lol read more

They just sold the last jumbo sausage to a fat person so I had to make do with 2 regular ones. IMO roma in morriston is better and cheaper... read more

I think this place has been living on its past reputation for FAR too long, and I agree with the previous review, its VERY expensive, and certainly NOT anywhere near as good as other similar establishments in Swansea. This used to be good, but on our last visit the tea was watered down, it is no longer bread & butter but bread & margarine and the vinegar was so watered down it was nearly colourless as well as tasteless. i used to live in swansea and whenever i go back i always go to rossis chip shop. the chips are delicious and the gravy is really good too.there is always plenty of staff on and the portion sizes are good too. read more
