The communication was poor. it was rare for me to get a phone call from them without constantly leaving voicemails and emails for them to get back to me. not only that, but in my settlement, they forgot to pay out to the ambulance company that took me to the hospital the night of my accident and then told me that there was nothing they could do about it because I had already signed off on the settlement. so instead of taking responsibility for their mistake, they stuck me with $1000 ambulance bill. I wouldn't recommend using them to my worst enemy.

The first attorney I used did not seem at all experienced in this type of claim so I was referred to Gordon by an attorney client and friend. Gordon prepared me to limit my expectations as Ohio has limits on certain claims then he went on to settle for almost TWICE the maximum settlement for my type of claim in the last decade! I highly recommend Gordon and have given his name to several friends. His medical knowledge, skill at negotiating and aggressiveness make him the perfect attorney to call if you have an injury claim. Most importantly, he is not afraid to go to trial which, once the opposition understands this, almost insures you will not have to! Jill Freeland, Realtor Powell, Ohio

This review is long overdue because I have had the privilege of working with James Tyack for almost…read more20 years. When I initially needed an attorney, I was very concerned with choosing someone who is ethical and trustworthy. My attorney would be my face and voice in every legal matter, and I wanted someone who would be respected while still fighting for me. I interviewed several attorneys in the Columbus area. After meeting with Jamie, I immediately knew that he was the right person to represent me. Jamie has wonderful communication skills and has always been accessible. He has outstanding legal skills and expertise. Jamie is a critical thinker with strong attention to detail, and is client-centered. I always feel like the most important person in the world when I speak with Jamie. Over the years I have needed Jamie's assistance several times. He has never disappointed me. He is truly an amazing lawyer who always takes the time to talk to me and help me resolve issues. In fact, Jamie has represented me three times over the years, and he has won every case. Although this may sound a little silly, I love the "lawyerly presence" that Jamie exudes. His outstanding legal skills are coupled with his professionalism. I'm always proud to say that he represents me, and I would never consider using any other attorney. Recently I referred an elderly friend to Jamie, and he represented her in a civil matter. Jamie always took the time to speak with her and put her mind at ease. She won her case because of Jamie's expertise, and now both she and her sister say they won't consider hiring any other attorney than Jamie. The entire Tyack Law Firm is outstanding. The firm is large enough to serve every need while still being small enough to ensure personal attention. Everyone who works there is a professional and a pleasure to work with. Do yourself a favor and call the Tyack Law Firm anytime you need legal assistance. You won't be sorry.

The only reason I did not give five stars is because due to covid, everything was over telephone or email, though not their fault by any means, I am just definitely an in-person kinda of person who likes to build relationships face-to-face and have the opportunity to read body language and get nonverbal feedback. Additionally almost all my interaction was with Emily who, I believe is his paralegal. Emily Cooner would get six stars if I could review her individually. She was beyond understanding of my situation. Having never experienced the legal system before, she did an impeccable job at easing my anxieties, answered all my questions and absolutely never made me feel like I was asking a stupid question. With that being said, I do wish I had more interaction with Tomas as he was my primary attorney. In addition to more communication with him, I would have been beyond grateful and appreciative if I was given the opportunity to have at least one in-person sit down before meeting for the first time at the courthouse. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Joslyn Law Firm. Very professional and outstanding communication.
