They are so knowledgeable and organized and have excellent knowledge of every type of situation. So we just went to our annual tax appointment and it was such a good experience and they did it very fast, on the spot. Simply genius, the best. High fives all around.

I worked at OG Tax and Accounting as a Bookkeeper/Accountant for several months. Unfortunately, my…read moreexperience was heavily affected by the management of the Bookkeeping department. Nataliya Prokosheva, who oversees the department, demonstrated a lack of effective leadership and people-management skills. During my time at the company, I frequently experienced unprofessional behavior, including being spoken to in a disrespectful manner, public criticism, raised voices, personal remarks, and what felt like workplace bullying. Rather than creating a supportive environment where employees could learn and grow, the management approach often felt intimidating and demoralizing. Constructive feedback is important in any workplace, but there is a clear difference between professional guidance and personal attacks. For a company that strives to maintain professional standards, this type of behavior should not be considered acceptable. I believe many employees would be able to perform at a much higher level under stronger, more respectful, and professional management within the Bookkeeping department. That being said, my criticism is directed specifically at Nataliya Prokosheva and her management style within the Bookkeeping department, not at the company as a whole. Although I did not have the opportunity to work directly with the owner of the company, my overall impression of him is positive. Based on the way the company operates and the feedback I heard from both employees and clients, he appears to be a professional and responsible business owner. I also had the opportunity to work with many talented, friendly, and hardworking colleagues who made the workplace enjoyable despite the challenges. OG Tax and Accounting has a strong team and significant potential for continued success. I sincerely hope the company addresses the leadership issues within the Bookkeeping department, as improving management practices would create a much healthier, more productive, and more respectful work environment for everyone.

This review is way overdue....say 8 yrs or so but I was recently reminded of my experience here so…read morethis is my honest review.Years ago, Mr Karczewski was recommended to me when he first started this Tax Prep business upon retiring from another....I believe for several years this person performed my tax prep in a good manner..i had no real issues....My Issues came in short the last year I retained him in which he made a critical error costing me approx. 4 grand.Understanding errors can be made by anyone I called this man and found the true nature of his character...he literally brushed me off like it was nothing,no solutions offered and a poor disposition unbecoming a professional unwilling to accept any responsibility!Fortunately at the time I had the xtra $avail. to pay the IRS in full....With my understanding the final responsibility falls on the client to check, how many times do we?,especially when getting a return!..We pay individuals good money to act like pros and do their jobs..Again i'll reiterate, mistakes can be made but how you carry yourself in the face of adversity as it pertains to your client is important I think to us all. Mr Karczewskis lack of respect and courtesy is enough for me N OT to recommend him to anyone!........TO ANYONE INTERESTED IN USING THIS PERSON.....I STILL HAVE PROOF ON MY 1040...THIS INDIVIDUALS ATTITUDE YOU WILL HAVE TO TAKE MY WORD ON....MY REVIEW IS NOT ON THE MISTAKE BUT WHAT TRANSPIRES AFTER HE MAKES ONE....THE LACK OF INTEGRITY WHENS HES COST YOU 4 GRAND , BLAMING THE CLIENT AND TOTAL LACK OF RESPECT....HE STILL WONT ANSWER THIS REVIEW..I HOPE HE SEES IT!...Guys like these unfortunately are a dime a dozen..

UPDATE: Retaliatory Consumer Deception (Astroturfing) On Monday, July 13, 2026, Rachel Michaelov…read morebypassed my retained legal counsel and texted me directly in a bad-faith attempt to pressure me into deleting my review. I declined. Immediately following this, Ms. Michaelov and her agents launched a coordinated, fraudulent review campaign on their Google Business listing to bury my warning. Prior to this date, the business had not received a single public review in over six months. To artificially inflate their rating, she utilized immediate family members and employees posing as neutral retail customers: Reviewer 1 (Eli Ran Pinchasov - Son & Employee): Posted a positive review on July 13. His public Facebook profile explicitly reveals his employment as "Works at Empire Tax Advisors." No disclosure of his employment or family relationship was made, directly violating FTC guidelines. Reviewer 2 (Joseph Pinchasov - Family Member): On the same day, two separate accounts sharing the owner's immediate family name posted repetitive positive reviews claiming to be a repeat client. By fabricating positive peer reviews through immediate family members and employees, Empire is actively engaging in deceptive advertising ("astroturfing") in direct violation of NY General Business Law § 349 & § 350, and NC Gen. Stat. § 75-1.1. The owner publicly admitted on April 26, 2026, that she has operated her companies in "chaos mode" for many years, surrounded by "chaos people." If you are a small business owner looking for competent, ethical accounting, look elsewhere. The Upcharge Trap: After a $5,000 deposit on August 27, 2025, I received my regular $1,000 monthly fee for September just days later, followed by an additional $1000 UPCHARGE later the same month to complete the already promised and agreed upon work. However nothing was done, not even a welcome onboarding email with instructions until 30+ days later,  and $7,000+ in collected fees. Despite our onboarding call and paperwork laying out my needs prior to receiving a monthly cost, they continued demanding unjustified UPCHARGES of $2,000, $1000, $500, and $250 for services agreed prior to onboarding or signing any agreements as included in the scope of work, without any mention of costing extra. Do not fall for this trap. You are paying them to keep up charging you, only to deliver defective work, no work at all, or halt all work product unless their unexpected and unagreed upcharges are paid. Unless you are ready to pay Rachel $10,000 for defective services, and then an additional $10,000 to $100,000 in legal fees to recover your $10,000 investment, look elsewhere immediately. The decade-long public record shows this is a business model rather than a one-time event. Instead of learning from their mistakes and making customers whole, this business resorts to constantly changing names and creating dozens of misleading profiles to dilute complaints. They are relying on the assumption that small businesses lack the $10k required to hold them accountable in court.
