The Roslagsbanan might be a small network but it is still pretty well run by SL with the network lasting 40 miles across 38 stops it's a Narrow-gauge railway with the added benefit of the trains being step-free from train to platform (as I recall it extends to street levels too with most stations having lifts as SL are pretty good for that)
It has three lines, strangely they are all the same colour, Purple and numbered 27-29 I presume this is not to clash with any other public transport system in the city and their own numbers and colours such as the green/red/blue of the metro.
All stations start/terminate at Stockholm East, station known by natives as Stockholms östra - the station is a couple stops away on the metro from Central Station but it is in a pretty rough area overall.
Following a 2017 agreement between the Swedish state, Stockholm County, and the affected municipalities, the line will be extended to the centrally located underground hub T-Centralen, with construction to begin in approximately 2022 - this is much needed to make the Roslag network better and more common.
The conductors on the train seemed friendly and there are ticket scanners on every platform to touch in and out of depending on your ticket as most of them require this especially the 24/48/72 hour passes.
Overall - this isn't a bad network, most stations, however, are basic but it does serve some of the best routes into parts of Stockholm which without the Roslag are poorly accessed including Taby Centrum, home to a great shopping mall - I really do hope and think the connection to make it easier to get the network from T-Centralen needs to be sped up as that would vastly modernise and improve the network for sure.
