For $5 you get to park your car in the adjacent lot and gain admission to their little fair (we had cash, not sure if they accept credit or debit). There were a bunch of pumpkin displays, free hayride, kid activities, vendors selling local goods (knits, clothing, baked goods, soaps, popcorn, honey, etc.), and a haunted maze for $2 admissions within the grounds. Some of the activities require additional cost (like the pumpkin painting for the kids). They have chickens roaming around the property (they usually stay near their little chicken coop in the far back). The free hayride was fun, just a little ride around their property- nothing spectacular. The kids on our tour ride seem to enjoy it :P If you're looking to spend about 40 mins or less at a pumpkin patch, this is the place to go!

You have clothing, tapestries, lotions, candles, soaps, furniture, paintings, chocolates, leatherwork, Knick knacks until your heart is content... they have it all which is backdropped with the interior elegance and beauty of the Mansion. I would love to learn more of the history of this place, but for now, I'll let my imagination run wild as to what this place once used to be. Outside, plenty of seating areas and tables, edged by plenty of activities such as football toss in the holes, for hole boards, and a gigantic connect four set up. Fire pits glowing of embers, a stage with live Holiday cheer playing in the background, with several food trucks parked along the edge. We shopped, relaxed, took some photo ops, ate, and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. If you're looking for something unique, this is it. Completely worth the drive out here, as the staff was more than hospitable... offering rides to and fro to vehicle parking or serving up a piping hot Americano. We had ordered the Brisket Mac & Cheese w/ jalapeños, as well as, the Mexican brisket street corn.... Absolutely worth the wait!! We also coupled that with a side of fried pimento cheese balls.... They had me submit a photo of my unopened item. They sent extensive customer guidelines in order to get a refund processed and they charge a RESTOCKING fee which I was not aware of. With so many options for places to shop, I would proceed with caution. I have not gotten my refund yet and the customer service person said "you should get an email from us when the refund is processed". That did not sound too convincing! I think they expect more from their customers than their customers can expect from them!

They always had lots of healthy inventory (15+ packed greenhouses). I was just there this past week and yikes!! What happened? Beautiful French jazz music to shop by, very nice room dedicated to fertilizers, insecticides and the like, friendly youngsters willing to try to help, very nice selection of pots. Problem was that it looked like Lowes with good music. The prices are high (like Lowes), they were down to 2 or 3 greenhouses. Many of the plants are more geared to other parts of the country. And not lots of relevant plants for East Texas. Their vegetable selection sucked, especially tomatoes and peppers. Even so, I managed to drop $250 because the plants were healthy and I didn't feel like stopping at another nursery (I need to get plants in the ground now). I won't be back though.
