Hair color, eggs, shrimp, laundry stain remover, and dishwasher rinsing agent. A good selection of everything! I did not care for the only check out option--self checkout. Not only did the self-check-out clerk humiliate me, but her manager did as well. All I wanted to do was get my groceries on my way home from a trip, and I was not allowed to purchase a couple of bottles of wine although I'm 53 years old and showed my ID. They insisted on seeing my daughter's ID, although she was not purchasing the over $170 worth of groceries in my cart that happened to include a couple of bottles of wine. By their logic, I should never be able to order a glass of wine at a restaurant when my daughter is with me. Does Walmart really believe that only childless people drink wine? I complained to their customer service department and over twenty-four hours later still haven't heard back from them. I don't want to give them even one star. If you have kids, I wouldn't shop there!!! UPDATE! This is the email I received from the corporate offices. NO APOLOGIES! I called and talked to the store's assistant manager and shared the email. He is doing nothing because he didn't see it happen. Hi LaVerne, In order to comply with all laws and to ensure that alcoholic beverages, tobacco, and firearms are not sold to those underage, Walmart administers point-of-sale age checks in all locations across the country. By doing this, we hope to discover the best methods for ensuring that products are not sold illegally to those underage or in violation of our policies. Also, to comply with federal laws, stores may ask for ID from individuals within a group other than the person making a purchase if it appears items purchased are intended for multiple members of the group. An ID is not required of children / minors in the company of parents or guardian making a legal purchase. Also, a sale will not be denied when children / minor touches an alcoholic product during the legal purchase by parents or guardian. I will never buy paint or painting supplies anywhere else after this. We came in on Wednesday to purchase paint for our kitchen cabinets and discussed the various types of paint with the associate, who knew exactly what we needed. The two gentlemen on duty Friday mixed our paint, helped us select the best rollers and brushes. We were able to afford top-of-the-line products thanks to this fantastic staff. I've been coming to this location for nearly 4 years now and have gotten to know several of the employees and I look forward to them working when I go because they are always happy, friendly and helpful. I find that they keep the store well-stocked and clean. They have a good variety of things to choose from and prices are good. There's new management now and I just don't find it as happy and welcoming as the previous. They haven't done anything directly wrong, it just seems less authentic than the previous. I've been several mornings at 8am when they open to find they haven't unlocked the doors or is scrambling to get them open. When a store says we open at 8, to me that means everything is turned on, running, set up and ready to take my money at 8am. Just my pet peeve I suppose. The long-time employees continue to do a wonderful job and I'll probably continue to shop there because of them.
