Relatives of mine were buried here recently and I can only have good thing to say about this cemetery. The council run this place well, with good opening times that change seasonally, and the council staff keep the graves and flower beds in the local vicinity in great condition.
The place is surprisingly huge,, with there being acres and acres of grave stones here is a good network of roads and on-road parking, though access to graves in the cemetery's older sections and many of the memorial trees is restricted.
There are also benches littered around the place and public toilets are available, so as cemeteries go, it's a fairly good one, though they are of course inherently depressing areas! So on that note Il leave on a more interesting note! The Northern Irish hero George Best was buried here too much fanfare, though why the city has named an airport after an alcoholic and serial womaniser is beyond me...shows how far being a famous footballer can take you! read more
