I went in late May where the whether was ok but very quiet in the late spring so no issues with busy locks or too many boaters in the water. Got a chance to see their luxury boats and it's like a floating hotel. Can't wait to go back. Highlights of the trip were Boyd island, Bobcaygeon, Lower Buckhorn lake, Wolfe Island and Lovesick lock.

There would be less mess in an animal pen. The prices charged are no reflection of the state of the facility and pontoons. The first pontoon we rented had a grease spill all over the side ledge of the vessel right beside the ladder to board and get off of the vessel for swimming. Thank goodness we did not add the feature as we would not have been able to use the bbq in the condition. Pontoon 17. On our second attempt the pontoon was still definitely not in spic and span power washed state as shown in the advertisement. FYI - upon arrival 10.00 to park a big vehicle. 10.00 for each fishing rod with 5 feet of line on them if that as they did not bother to re-line the rods between customers.and 10.00 per pot of worms. The pontoon engine was not in the greatest condition as it sounded like the water pump was not clearing the water well which made it very very loud sluggish and squirrelly to drive. We cut our visit short and upon arrival the owner came out to ask if we were done with the worms we could not use. Strange. No other questions. Also we found that the anchor line was short on the pontoon so check if you go. The marina is a little crazy to walk as well. Small slips and very very unkept grounds. This place has a lot of potential but unfortunately it seems that cutting corners will be its demise. Number 13 pontoon front door also kept opening as we drove the lake since the latch to keep the door closed was missing entirely. The booking staff are somewhat stern if you call to re- arrange your trip. Don't even try to cancel. please note ...The younger staff carrying out the physical departure and arrival are excellent in spite of the overall management of this place. I believe that at the price point for the rentals there could be a great deal of improvement made to this facility. Customers are taking their loved ones on the lake for a easy safe adventure and I feel that they are a little indifferent and lacking in maintenance. It's been a week since our trip and could not let this experience go unmentioned.

They are very unhygenic and don't clean the boats between each ride. Besides that, they also have extremely unsafe boating practises. They let a rookie handle our pontoon who didn't know what he was doing and our original pontoon driver just left us and went to go help someone else. They seem incredibly short staffed and disorganized. the management is also extremely corrupt and unprofessiona, swearing at customers. Will never go with them again.

There is a building to get your rental taken care of. The marina has a cafe. If you feel like a snack after a fun day on the water, it's there waiting for you. There are also public washrooms. I used the women's. It has two stalls, but one was actually in working order. It was clean. It was nice to walk along the boardwalk and admire the waterfront. He was attentive, efficient and was meticulous in making sure all the fishing party concentrated on just the fun aspects of fishing. Sean runs a fishing charter from Rice lake and Lake Simcoe and depending on the time of the year and how the fishing is at the time, Sean makes a recommendation on location and itinerary. Since our charter was in the late fall, Sean suggested we meet him on lake Simcoe. We drove up to meet Sean at a marina and he came with bait, all the fishing rods, pfd and everything else we would need to enjoy the day on the water fishing. We went out on his pontoon boat and felt very comfy and safe. Sean took care of putting all the baits on our hooks and showed us how to fish for the infamous lake Simcoe yellow belly perch. As you can see from the photos, we had an epic day of fishing! We were so impressed with Sean's attentive and friendly service, we are booked to go ice fishing with him soon. Will report back on how that experience goes!
