My daughter has only come here three times. We see Dr. Madamala, I think she means well but comes…read moreacross very mean. I originally made an appointment here for the very reason of psychological testing which they told me they did. We had the first appointment where we meet before the actual test, and they told me to call back for her recommendations prior to actually testing. I've called the office three times and no one can provide me with any clear answers. They will just tell me oh well our scheduler is really busy but she will get to you. Not professional at all, I've been calling since the end of November. Here we sit in the office now, 99% sure my daughters appointment was supposed to be at 2:30. The receptionist rudely corrected me and said no it's 3 PM are you gonna stay or not? It's only a half hour why would I leave and risk the no show fee? I've worked in Dr. offices before and this by far is the most mediocre staff I've ever met. They have no compassion for patients and frankly just seem to be here for the pay check and don't seem to give a damn. The best part is sitting in the outdated waiting room with magazines from a year ago watching old episodes of bonanza on the tv. Im most likely going to find my daughter a new doctor she can relate to better and has office staff that will actually care why the patients are making appointments.

The front staff (aside from Sandy who I can assume no longer works there) is a joke. They don't…read moreinform you when making future appointments you have an OUTSTANDING BALANCE OF $25 instead they call multiple times in one day. The receptionist Katie or Kate I honestly don't know her name. Speaks so low and slow. But she sure is quick to raise her monotned voice and give you an attitude when you ask about the OUTSTANDING BALANCE OF $25. I'm sure the doctors are decent but the staff is a joke. "Emma" from billing is rude. She makes you feel incompetent. My kid only sees Linda Kramer (she's amazing) but holy moly the rest need to be removed or retrained. Such a joke ONE MORE THING: Horizons Behavioral Health is documented in an upcoming series on corruption for committing HIPAA violations, billing fraud, and malpractice. There are several practitioners named. One is Dr. Ritu Talwar. Another is Dr. Susan Olesch. Linda Kramer is not mentioned to my recollection.

My experience with Main St. Psychiatry and Dr. Joanne Parks has been absolutely stellar. Dr Parks…read moreand each member of her team is extraordinary. They are professional and at the same time construct a safe atmosphere for healing. At the cornerstone of Main St. Psychiatry's practice is Joanne Parks, M.D. In my opinion Dr. Parks is a highly skilled psychiatrist. She brings a myriad of skills including a very extensive medical background. She brings warmth and empathy to her patients Dr. Parks has helped me feel safe and able to grow. She validates patients'feelings . I believe Dr. Parks treats her patients, her staff and other parties with respect. She definitely goes the extra mile to help her patients She works extremely hard to meet her patients' needs. In this vein I emphasize that Dr. Parks is an excellent practitioner who exceeds expectations. I have always felt her care for me and my needs. Further she respects me. And she supports me. She carefully handles all matters, especially those that are sensitive Main St Psychiatry and Dr. Parks offer services beyond therapy and medication. At the center of these additional services are a treatment called Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) TMS is a series of procedures that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain It's called a noninvasive procedure because it's done without using surgery or cutting. I have had TMS at Main St. and found it to bevery helpful. Overall, I would definately highly recommend Dr. Parks and Main. St. Psychiatry.

I was referred to Tracy by a family member that works here. I was a patient for over a year. I…read morereally loved talking with Tracy and she helped me navigate through a hard time. We seemed to be on the same page with my goals and options and I valued her opinion. On 8/10 I had an appointment to discuss finally treating my ADHD. It took me years to even consider medication, but felt confident that she could help. Our session went great! She advised me of 3 different medication options. I am very sensitive to medications, so I requested the one that my son had done well with since I was already hesitant to try anything. She said she would fill it but warned me my insurance may not approve coverage. I understood and we left it as, if they declined the medication we would discuss something else. A week passed after that and I hadn't heard anything so I called and spoke with Ari. Med was declined but they were working on trying to get it approved and if not they'd help me find another option or maybe pay out of pocket. Ari was kind and helpful, even though she had to be the middle man for Tracy. After an entire MONTH of working with Ari to figure of WHAT medication Tracy was going to try since the preferred one was declined, WHAT meds my insurance will even approve, and even WHEN Tracy would let me know what we will be doing I finally left a VM that said hey, if we can't figure this out by the end of the week I'm just done. Short version- I started the drug 9/12 and by 9/15 I had high blood pressure, eye pain, confusion, and other concerning symptoms. I reached out Monday to schedule my follow up appointment and I asked Ari if I should be concerned of these symptoms, she PROMISED that she would have Tracy call me by the end of the day to make sure I was ok. She warned me to NOT stop the medication until I spoke with Tracy. By Wednesday by BP was even higher and I could hardly function. I called and Ari said "she didn't call you back yet?" NOPE. She said she would talk to her and get back to me. They were open until 7pm and still, NOTHING. By Thursday at 9AM I called multiple times and no one answered me so I left a very frustrated voice mail. Hello? Is this normal? Should I stop this medication? Why does no one return phone calls like this? Well to my surprise guess who finally called me? TRACY! I was so relieved she called and asked me what was going on. I told her my symptoms and she said to STOP the meds. Great, that's all I wanted to know! Then she asked me why I was calling so many times in the last month and that my behavior was super suspicious and she thinks my ANXIETY was CONCERNING TO HER. She said she has been "WATCHING ME" and then told me she intentionally was "PUMPING THE BREAKS" on HELPING ME because she saw I was communicating with Ari to figure out what the plan was. Excuse me? Did you just GASLIGHT your patient because you failed to effectively communicate a plan with me? I asked her why she didn't just call me and discuss that she felt concerned and she said she didn't talk to me ON PURPOSE. She admitted she was playing a MIND GAME with me. Absolutely not. Not only is that incredibly narcissistic, it is down right predatory. Tracy, you could kill someone with behavior as a psychiatrist like that. BE CAREFUL. Advocate for yourself and if you are starting a new medication have a back up plan in case she ghosts you and then blames YOU! Oh, and after she gaslit me she yelled at me, refused to let me talk, fired me, and hung up on me! Thank you for your professionalism. Unfortunate for me, I will never ever work with a psychiatrist again for mental health or medications. It was incredibly heartbreaking to hear her say those things about me and not take any ownership on how it was handled. Insinuating I'm crazy and that was justification for withholding care? I actually do think this is very out of character for her, but she definitely earned this one.
