Seems according to Medicare that the blood work to test for clotting was not submitted/coded properly & they refused coverage! How in Gods name can Clotting properties not be covered for surgery is beyond me. I called spoke with Florida Med. which referred me to Medicare who said FMC didn't code the bill properly and should have noted that it was surgically related & "medically necessary". Well Florida Medical said they would review it. Then called a few days later to say the would not resubmit as they didn't deem it necessary! Fla. Med. submitted the bill (according to Medicare) claiming I signed a "advance notification of non coverage" (which I am going to insist on seeing). That being said, why would FMC even do that? I have a call in to my primary to ask why her billing department is refusing to do their job and code this blood work as "medically necessary"...I'm waiting & will update! It's Friday, how much do we want to bet I won't hear anything!! Update, I received no call back from the doctor. I will be calling first thing Monday morning. If I don't get a response I will be going down there in person. Will update.. I did hear on Monday that the claim would be resubmitted after my doctor was consulted. I think its odd that Medicare would reject blood work for surgery. But hopefully this will be the last of this issue. Update:1/4 It was NOT handled. Now had to go over the entire issue again. Still FMC refuses to address resubmission of the bill to Medicare w/proper code and explanation! I have a MRI scheduled, if this issue isn't resolved, I am cancelling & finding a new provider no associated with FMC!

When I disputed this excessive charge, the Billing Supervisor, the person with a professional interest in collecting the money--was the only individual allowed to review and confirm the charge was "correct." They provided no independent patient advocate for oversight, which is standard practice elsewhere. Patients paying out-of-pocket or with high deductibles should seek alternative providers with more equitable fees.

Took vitals and asked me my symptoms The Dr came in very nice man and listened to my symptoms..turns out I had an upper respiratory infection and he gave me a couple of prescriptions and about a week later felt much better. The providers refused to properly evaluate or help my child, who developed chronic migraines just 10 days after a car accident. Despite the seriousness of the situation, they declined to refer us for any necessary diagnostic testing and stated they could only order basic lab work. It felt like the medical staff were not equipped to handle conditions that go beyond routine well-child visits. There was no effort to investigate the underlying issue or provide appropriate care. On top of that, the wait time was unacceptable. I brought my child in and waited for about an hour between the lobby and the exam room. After we were denied help, the front desk staff appeared to be laughing and chatting casually, showing a lack of professionalism and sensitivity given the patient's condition. Overall, this experience was frustrating and concerning. I would not recommend this clinic if your child has a serious or complex medical issue.

I was in labor for 12+ hours, couldn't eat sleep or drink, I kept moving from a hot shower to a hot bath tub (all natural birth, helped with pain). My body really started giving out, I thought I was going to die, but I have faith in God so persevered. They gave me an iv bag of fluid, which felt like a breath of fresh air. Eventually my baby boy was born, and healthy. I would give birth here again because the support was amazing. I really wanted to be left alone the entire time. But they were right in reach when needed.

They did NOT address my concerns and did NOT notate them in my medical records. They also kept telling me my baby was perfectly healthy and "medically unremarkable". They COMPLETELY missed major congential brain malformations forcing me to full term with a child who was dying the entire time in my womb and during birth. They did not offer an ambulance to Johns Hopkins when my son was dying. They also did not catch enlarged fatty liver or preeclampsia because they do not use the proper tests. They also yanked my placenta instead of allowing it out naturally which ended up in retained placenta. If you are 35 or older I do NOT recommend this place. I gave birth in January and they wanted to know "what they did wrong and could do better" .... im sorry YOU are supposed to be the medical professionals. So no, i dont recommend them and would not trust them with any medical care. They are certified PROFESSIONAL midwives which are COMPLETELY different than certified NURSE midwives. They didnt even have care when I had whooping cough and broke ribs, instead I had to go to urgent care and ER to get properly diagnosed. ​​​
