My boyfriend and I came here for a couples massage. Before starting, I confirmed the pricing for add ons and specifically asked if the additional price included both persons. I was told yes and went about the massage (which was amazing). After finishing, when waiting to pay we were told the price is DOUBLE than what we were previously confirmed for. This was immediately blamed on a mis-understanding. That wasn't the worst part... while driving home my boyfriend stated he was GROPED by the masseuse at the end of the session while we were still blind folded. But because he was a man... he didn't believe it would have been taken as seriously as if he were a woman. Im infuriated. A young lady working there was working so hard I almost wanted to say to her she should take it a little easier. She realized while working on one area in my upper back it had been bothering me. And she really got it to feeling much better almost like she fixed it, while working on it with her elbows. And It has been much better since then. A few days later, I was going to go back to get another massage thinking it would bolster the effect to the area that was feeling better. And so I requested Lisa again. While I was waiting in the room it was someone else that came in the room and it was a different massage person than I had expected. The business said when I asked that the same lady would be working that day. And when I showed up requesting her they said nothing about a different massage person. The massage was all right but it just wasn't like the communication was very well understood for addressing the problem areas. Also, on the prior visit they wanted to run a tip on my credit card which I was not that comfortable with not knowing the business very well. And I told the lady at the front counter that I would compensate the young lady the next time when I came back, which I thought I would do seeing she had done a good job before. This spa is a mixed bag for me and honestly it depends on who you get as your masseuse. My wife and I had a couples massage and we both enjoyed it. For the most part we left comfortably and relaxed. She stated her masseuse was a bit rough with her and asked for to take it easy on a few tender spots took it down a notch only to crack up the intensity again. Mine was good, after a few hours after said massage I do feel a bit tender around my neck but I guess it's not that bad overall. The only complaint is with the front staff who was a bit pushy with "the extras" as she showed us a menu of things such as a hot stone for $10, cupping for $15 a person (we tried that last time and had half dollar sized welts on our backs for over a week... DON'T GET THIS, it's painful and literally does nothing for you) ... another issue with the front desk staff was an issue with our Groupon; we wanted to get a male masseuse for my wife. The guy was off today which was the same day our Groupon ended 6/29/22 so I asked if she could honor it tomorrow when the guy is in on 6/30/22 in which she replied that it would cost $10 extra to wait one day seriously lady? I thought this was petty and asked her to reconsider since we go there a few times a year and it would cost her literally nothing to be nice but to no avail ... well my friends moral of the story is it takes so little to be a good person and sometimes the little things can send two customers looking for another place for our occasional treat. I was gifted a coupon for a free massage here. When I called, the woman I spoke with spent the entire call convincing me that my coupon was old and had inaccurate information. It was recently purchased, clearly stated all the terms I relayed, as well as the fact that it was valid for another few months. When I arrived, she seemed more concerned with squeezing some money out of me than creating a good experience. I reluctantly agreed to do an add-on called "cupping" based on an extremely vague description of what it was during her aggressive sales pitch. I foolishly assumed that any of these extra services would be at the very least pleasant, if not deeply luxurious. I am happy for the reviewers on here that raved about how great cupping is. I thought it was awful. I also didn't realize that it would leave uncomfortable and horribly unsightly bruises for up to a week. Web MD says that in this process 3-5 suction cups are clamped on to the skin. In some cases, it says, as many as 7. My dude put 17 cups on my back, and had them there 2x or 3x longer than the "up to 3 minutes" that Web MD says is standard practice. Of these 17 cups, 15 left baseball-sized bruises that were a reddish purple color. Depending on the lighting, they look like either a really bad tattoo, or something out of a horror movie. They also didn't warn me that this practice can aggravate certain skin conditions, such as the one I have, psoriasis. I called back a couple hours later, half way to a panic attack about how grisly the marks on my back were. The woman unapologetically explained that the bruises just meant it was "working." Cool. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! I found this spot from Groupon, worst mistake of my life. They require a $15 tip "minimum" which isn't a problem if the service was good, but I guarantee you it isn't. Avoid this place unless you like dry skin on skin contact, long nails, majority of time using their forearm and elbows. Roughest "massage" in my life, after leaving I felt worse off. My back now has sharp pain and my neck is still stiff. Their movements when massaging are harsh, aggressive, and inconsistent. I felt like a rag doll when they threw a hot towel and scrubbed my body down to get off whatever oils they put on me. There was nothing relaxing about this experience and was quite painful the entire time. She left the room 3 times to take care of a customer, and didn't last a full hour of what I paid for. On Groupon it was priced around $33 for 1 hour and was baffled when I told her I wanted to tip $8.
