What started off seeming like a good company, ended up not being so good. One guy would be there for three days and then someone new would show up and have no clue what the last guy did. One of the employees painted the bathroom walls without even wiping the walls down after sanding. What a mess and it had to all be redone, which I am sure would not have happened if I did not complain. At one point, I had to tell the project manager that I did not want anyone in my home until I met with him. The lack of craftsmanship, and integrity was upsetting to say the least. Who puts kitchen cabinets in before painting??? Once the job was complete, it took Vaz Construction another month to come back and finish the things that were not completed. Overall the experience was very disappointing, even more-so with the amount of money they charged us for their sub par work.

Mark and his crew showed up on time for the demolition, and the schedule of the Tiles, electrician, plumber, painter, and inspector was all organized. He took care of everything. We only had to be around to answer some simple layout questions. We had a couple of minor bumps during the project (as expected), and Mark quickly found solutions and took care of them. Mark's crew is very competent and the quality of their work is impressive. Moreover, they are very polite and respectful, making the whole experience painless and pleasant. I recommend Mark's team, they are a bit more expensive but the quality of the work and the stress-free experience for a renovation is well worth it.

On top of providing top-tier service and doing beautiful work, RK came in under time and on budget. During the planning phase, Ralph was easy to communicate with, very detailed and patient in his explanations of the process, and presented us with exactly the design we asked for. During the construction phase, Manny served as job supervisor and was onsite every day caring for our home as though it was his own. My husband and I both work hybrid schedules and the bulk of the work was done during our daughter's summer vacation, so at least one of us was always in the way of the work being done. Manny, Mike, and everyone respected our space, cleaned the site daily, and took extra care to accommodate our needs. Manny was a wonderful partner to us throughout the process - he knew when to execute exactly what we wanted and he knew when we were indecisive or overwhelmed and how to guide us. He served as conductor and coordinator of so many moving parts and made it seem smooth and seamless. Throughout the process, we met with vendors for cabinetry, appliances, tile, countertops, and plumbing fixtures as well as their subcontractors for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, tiling, and hardscaping. The respect and admiration each of them had for Ralph and all of the RK crew was evident in talking to them and served as a huge reassurance for us. We solicited quotes from three contractors. RK Construction did not come in at the lowest price. They use high-quality products and their craftsmanship is intentional and meticulous in a way that earns the higher price tag.
