This lovely garden in the grounds of Hampton Court Palace is truly a joy for all the senses. There is a plethora of rose varieties and a profusion of colour here; many of the them are divinely-scented. It's always beautifully tended, honestly better in spring and throughout summer (obviously) but still delightful whatever the season - if you want a scenic outing to London's historic outskirts or just fancy taking some time-out to chill and escape by reading, seated at one of the many benches. As a bonus, access to this garden is free and not only available as part of the Palace entry ticket. read more
