This gourmet supermarket is a serious foodie heaven. It starts as you walk in, or run in if your…read morethat excited, I won't judge....or will I? Straight away your hit with the smell of freshly squeezed orange juice and to your left a cooler with dips and yoghurt's, freshly made sushi, pasta and pizza to entice you. Next up your in the fruit and veg section where you will find everything that is in season and moving on to the meat section where everything is represented, rabbit? Yes. Duck? Sure. And then your headed past the bread (Philippa's bread for me please) and your almost at the deli. The deli is where the magic happens. A cheese section that would sate a field of mice and most cheese gourmets. The freshly cut meats, salads, quiches and antipasto would be a welcomed addition to your Spring racing picnic. The range here is fabulous, and the staff helpful. The deli is all kinds of right. Then there's the cake and pastry cabinet at the back of the store next to the milk and the baked goods, fresh bread, rolls, danish and muffins. The health food aisle down the center of the store divides the fresh section to the grocery section, where usual supermarket brands are dispersed with gourmet variations. Head towards the checkouts and you will find chocolates, magazines and flowers rounding out your trip. There is usually not enough checkouts open, but its worth the wait for foodie inspiration. The Liquor store is as varied and well stocked as the supermarket. More expensive then your average chain supermarket but you pay for what you get, and what you find at Leo's is a great range of high quality produce. If your a foodie, looking for something special or just want to grocery shop to the sound of popular jazz or world music then Leo's Fine food & wine is for you.

Overpriced and the food was terrible to the point of unedible. Have enjoyed Woolworths brand pasta…read moremore.

Before you ask, yes, they are Australian owed. This flagship store in Ivanhoe is where Chocolatier begin. Their factory has since moved but the shop front here has all the chocolate goodness that even the most die hard chocoholic could desire. Trust me I know. Their chocolate is of the highest quality. Cadbury who? You pay for what you get, and what you get here is a range of dark, milk, white and flavoured chocolates that taste amazing and well made. Chocolatier's Ivanhoe store offers all types of chocolate. From chocolate bars and individual gourmet pieces, to hot chocolate and iced chocolate. Chocolate in all shapes and sizes. At Christmas and Easter the season is celebrated in all kinds of ways! Bunnies and Santa's in chocolate form, sign me up! They also offer personalized chocolates for weddings, birthdays and parties and create gift boxes to the value of your choice. The staff here are friendly and happy to talk choc-shop. This store is worth the trip. If your a local chocoholic like me, get there now!

Everyone loves chocolate but for $$$ each designer pop, you would save it for "special occasions "or "had a bad day" or even the "extra annoying people I need to drown out of my head by eating chocolate day". Well, chocolatier may not be the name you think of when you think designer chocolate. Maybe because you can find them in local woollies or Coles, or maybe because they are locally owned and produced. But these guys topped the chocolatier shop ladder for me if there is one. Why? 1. Their prices are lower than other chocolatiers without compromising quality ( you can still find your champagne truffles to solid buttons or bars) they average $1-2 ea. 2. They are established by 2 melburnian brothers 3. Service is 5* here. How many times have I popped in for a single piece of choccie, for $1, and without fail, the lovely staff happily wrap them with ribbon of your choice. I've never felt judged. 4. Variety - truffles, solids in shapes like tennis racquet, soft centred medium sized choccie to personalised packs. My hats off to this establishment, I believe this is what keeps their loyal customers back and back again. If you are ever in the area, pop in and you'll be surprised at what you find.
