The waitress was friendly and prompt to come and get our drink order and to get it brought to us. Then our order was not long after that. A table of 4 and we received our appetizer quick enough and had time ro enjoy it before our order came. We all made sure to get something different so as to try as much of the menu we could. Burger, fries, cauliflower, chicken fried steak sandwich, pork tenderloin sandwich, onion rings, glue fries, drinks and im sure im missing something. Everyone left feeling very satisfied, and loving our choices and what we ate. The place is smaller and I can see once its a packed house it is probably noisy but its to be expected. After all it is a tavern. I will be recommending the place as much as I can and will visit again when I am in town.

Ben (in the hat) and Madison were incredibly welcoming, personable and genuinely made the experience memorable. Their energy and friendliness turned a casual visit into a highlight of my trip. I'll absolutely be back, especially if one of them is behind the bar! Heads up, if you use the men's restroom, take a couple of napkins with you as they have one of those recirculating dirty cloth towels to dry your hands

I came in for the first time last night, and unfortunately didn't have the best experience. This…read morewas primarily due to poor service. Our server Jeff did seem busy, and was pleasant, but never around. He greeted us and took our order quickly. Then someone else dropped off our entrees (app was supposed to come out first which he clarified with us when we ordered). My order was buffalo wings with a side of buffalo sauce, and the wings came naked with a side. I would have asked for these to be taken back and tossed, but was hungry and ate half of them before we could flag down our server--my husband had finished his entire meal of wings by this time. When we were able to flag him down, I asked for more sauce, and our app. He apologized for this, and brought out the (hot) app very soon after. The wings were ok, and would have been much better if sauced. My husband likes his boneless wings just fine. The cheese curds we got were pretty good--more of a breading than crispy fried texture, but the flavor was great. I would come back and give this place another chance, but in the future will just walk back to a kiosk to find an employee if we have any issues, since we had to wait so long to flag down our server (on our own) for assistance.

We arrived about 9pm and there was a sign that said kitchen closed, after driving all day we were parched and looking for a bite to eat. We asked if it was closed... it was, but they opened the kitchen back up for us! How genuine and kind! We ordered pickle chips, and each got a sandwich and a side, it's worth coming just for the double cheeseburger! It was absolutely huge and totally worth the price, tasted like mom made when I was a kid. Definitely homemade! We had two rounds each, and stayed to chat. We ended up being the last ones in the bar. Our server - Stacey is incredible, very sociable and kind! At the end of the night she bought us a round! The ambiance is your favorite small town bar! A pool table, juke box, casino games and beer signs fill the well lit bar. There were signs that mentioned this bar was for sale and sounds like the owners are looking to retire, I sure hope this bar has a long life, if not with the current owners then with new owners - this is going to be a new staple for us on our way through town!

We tried checking reviews on Yelp for Ski's Bar and Grill but couldn't locate any. We opted to try a BBQ place next door that had positive remarks but unfortunately (or maybe fortunately as it turned out) it was closed so we decided to try Ski's and add a review for the next set of vegabonds. It took a while for our eyes to adjust, my husband knocked over a box fan in the dim light, but it wasn't an attempt to hide the food. Our meals were both excellent as bar food goes. I eat gizzards any time they are on the menu and my husband orders his "goto" hamburger when food is being prepared on a grill. Neither one of us was disappointed. French fríes accompanied our selections and they were plentiful, although a few of mine were undercooked and cold inside. Restrooms were clean, parking was plentiful, food arrived quickly and we left with full stomachs. We are glad we took a chance on Ski's in Columbus.
