I left after about 5 more minutes of his behavior. I don't know what his problem was following me around. Thanks, but no thanks! It was creepy, rude, & left me feeling harassed. You'd do better going across the car park to Treasure Aisles. They make you feel welcome in there!

It's that typical vendor to vendor booth style. My eyes kept lighting up as we walked throughout the store. It seems a majority of the store is setup as a living room/dining room and kitchen display with other rooms casusally thrown in. I love that concept. I kept getting so excited from booth to booth, it was such a pleasure walking through looking at literal antique items. I would say more on the upscale, well kept end. I wasn't paying attention to prices, so I couldn't tell you price points. I was on a literal hunt for a specific item but kept getting caught up in the booth displays. At this particular location, as opposed to across the street, I didn't see as many junk items but actual nice things. I do agree with the other Yelpers reviews as far as the employees not being super friendly, as far as asking you if you were finding everything ok or if you needed assistance. I saw one man behind the checkout area whom was busy on the phone and couldn't really tell who else worked there. But.......besides that, I could care less, simply because I had an enjoyable experience and so did the BF. Another plus was the parking lot right on the side of the building. It is not well lit, so beware.

It was like walking through an awesome quirky museum of americana, but keep in mind that I love old signs. Definitely check out the outdoor area, which has a neat little bridge and is filled with trinkets, statues and cool signs, including a few hotel/motel signs. Yeah, I would live there.

The Purple Cow is my favorite because there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of rhyme or reason for what's in the shop, but the randomness makes sense once you're in there! A few of the Purple Cow's specialties include: - A huge collection of vintage postcards, kept in old library card catalog drawers. I love to sift through them and see what vacation spots used to look like. And it's fun to read the used ones...see what kinds of messages people used to send to loved ones back in the day. - Antique hardware. If you're in the market for hooks, pulls or doorknobs, this might be the place for you. They usually don't come in sets, so if you like an eclectic aesthetic, that's a perfect place to purchase items for your house. - Signs. There's a huge, neon parrot sign that I inquired about. It's not for sale, but most of the signs are. There's old street signs, signs advertising products and a random arrow that directs people to the restroom. - There's also a large bookshelf of sports memorabilia near the register. Personally, sports anything doesn't pique my interest. But my boyfriend, who's an avid baseball card collector, said that the collection was pretty interesting. On my first visit, I purchased a framed "paint by numbers" of a ship at sea for our new apartment. It cost $5 and hangs on the wall next to a framed President Garfield on our entry room wall. If that gives you any indication of what kinds of antiques I'm into, then you'll understand why I love the Purple Cow.

I was on my way to the place next door when I realized the White Rabbit was right there. Bonus! Shopped around, they had some cute things. I love flour sack towels and found one with flowers that was pretty. And kept going back to fancy glasses in blue so I decided to get those, too. Prices were reasonable and I spent the gift card plus some. I was really uncomfortable about the personal conversation the staff was having after my husband and I were the only customers in the shop. Not anything horrible but just not a convo for when customers are around.

As their website says, "The White Rabbit - A Vintage Chic Boutique"…read more What a great boutique to find unique and original gifts. When you enter the store you know you have found a #shoplocal #shopsmall store that will help you finish your holiday shopping. I found so many amazing gifts for those hard to buy for cousins. There were vintage items, that took me back to our childhood memories and I cannot wait for them to open their gifts and have the same flashbacks as I did shopping. I got a chuckle out of the candy jar for well behaved children. It's a shame they don't have one for well behaved adults as well. Would I come back? Yes, when I need a unique gift that you can't find anywhere else. When: December 11, 2016 Why: Gift Shopping #shoplocal
